Hej.
Is it Here
http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9C%D1% ... 0%B0%D1%81
written that film "Tillsammans" more popular than FA.
I seem that this untrue. But need the arguments.
In russian language about film "Tillsammans" is written much little.
Help to find the arguments "AGAINST" that that "Tillsammans" more popular than FA.
Or on the contrary :)

No I don't think Tillsammans is more popular than FA, not in Sweden at least!

Maybe in Russia?

FA is a classic!!

I have checked this now, Tillsammans made more money than Fucking Åmål in the theaters in Sweden, but I don't think this means that it was more popular than FÅ.

I think it was because Lukas Moodysson was famous after FÅ and people wanted to see his new film.

And Tillsammans is certainly not a classic in the same way as Fucking Åmål.

LOL In truth, if it weren't for FA, I'd never even have heard of this one!

It probably never even had been made if it wasn't for the success of FÅ

Hi Guys!

I see this post only now...I hope it wouldn't be too late to answer back! I think that it's not important how many money Tilsammans have been made...FA is a CLASSIC and always will be! By the way...that's my opinion...I'm from Italy and here we're very very few knowing Swedish Cinema...
And I think that, as Agnes&Elin Forever! had written, it probably never even been made if it wansn't for the incredible success of FA :D

...I think in between a little time I'll take back my DVD and watch it again...also if it means watching it in Swedish with English subtitles   :D I'm never tired of watching it!!!
I also love Tilsammans but after FA! And after Lilja4-Ever!!!!

A big big bear hug to all of you  and Lot Of Love!

 hook

Which is no doubt True :)

But its seems along with Lilya 4 ever to overshadow Fucking amal reception in the rest of Europe. It was critical well received but seems to have not to have got the same love as Tillsamann (my favourite Moodysson film) and Lilya 4 ever. Plus in Ireland you can only got the dvd as a part of the Moodyson box set. its not got the same care and love as Tillsamann sadly.

You need to start looking into Ebay.
You can get pretty much any dvd you're looking for from any country in the world.

As for Moodysson's other films, I found it hard to empathise with any of the characters in Tillsamann. Lilya was excellent. Heart I've never seen and don't have any particular desire to partake of it. Container was so slow and difficult to follow that my poor little brain kept nodding off. Mammut was brilliant on so many levels. IMHO Fucking Åmål is/was one of the best films ever made about any subject and deserves to be right up there with the few masterpieces of filmmaking that have been made to date.

But then that's just my humble opinion. :T
