Remix Container

Postby Kolya » Sat Apr 04, 2009 6:39 pm

Kontainer.mp3 (6 MB)

Something I wanted to try out for sometime was mixing Container with some music. The actually mixed part is rather small here but it adds some effect. Another option would be to underpin the speech with some acoustic stuff. Maybe some of you have ideas for that.

EDIT: New version is up.

The host deleted it meanwhile, I'm just redoing it and will put it up again in a few minutes.

I really like the spoken word part with the spare, reverby pianoonce it gets into the singing I'm not as fond.

I'm going to have to watch Container now if that first part is anything like what the movie is about, and possibly see if there's a soundtrack. Thanks for posting this. :)

As far as I remember Container has no music at all. I thought the spoken audio track would make for some nice remixing though.

Yeah, I saw an excerpt after I posted that. The film itself was interesting but it almost felt secondary to the audio which was compelling, no idea if that holds up over a whole movie.

So I boosted the audio from an HQ youtube clip () and made my own version. I really liked the piano arrangement at the beginning of yours but don't really have any piano music so I ripped the end off Reservations from YHF. I then mashed it all together with Grouper's Hold A Desert Feel Its Hand. Oops, uploaded the wrong file, so mix2 is mashed up with a different track but otherwise mostly the same.

Cool! Like that. It has a suitably dark atmosphere.
