They all brought a tear to my eye, but it may have just been a speck of dust.
And the fact that I'm a wimp.

It's quiet tender moments between two people that stick out. Very real, Moodysson and his actors deserve huge praise for making it feel so close.

Another scene that breaks the heart that many probably wouldn't say cause it leads to Elin/Agnes getting together is Elin breaking up with Johan in front of her sister and his friend. He's a bit slow but a harmless good guy who's not a big dreamer and is happy with the small town life and probably a bit of a lap dog for his mate. Seen that happen to him was a bit cruel on Elin's part and actually makes you feel for the guy.

It's that damn dust fish :)

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Yeah, Elin's break up with Johan was so cruel.
By phone from the next room.
Doesn't get any harsher than that.

You had to feel for the guy, but all the same, there was a lot of humour in it too.

Sorry for the late Reply fish :D

That's why I love Fucking Amal, every character even the ones we are supposed to root for are flawed and sometimes unlikeable like most of us are in everyday life. It was darkly comic, you do laugh a little but the next scene I think is him outside crying which stops you laughing, how many of us were like that or are still like that when we get dumped like that :D . Teenagers can be cruel, but we forgive Elin soon as she gets with Agnes but that's human nature really.

No problems.
We're all occasional victims of that thing called "life" which goes on all around us, interrupting the time we spend here. :P

Yeah.
That's the kind of film FÅ was.
You laughed, you cried, you identified with so many of the characters that it was easy to become lost in it.
Beautiful film.  Image

What's wrong with me?). For the first time, tears flowed. Beginning at "Did you mean what you said before?" and lasting till the end credits. For me, the effect is getting stronger with each viewing, not weaker. I'm thinking about it more over time, not less. What on earth kind of film is this?

In my whole adult (?) life only one other film has made me cry, "To Kill a Mockingbird" when Boo Radley comes out.

FA is the first film that I don't cry. I don't understand. I've tried, is impossible. This film is very special.

I always cry a little at any romantic scene of any movie (either violent, action or horror ... )

I can not stop

Even ads on TV make me cry.

But then that may just be the exasperation of having my show interrupted. :T

I don´t remember crying , Is not a maudlin/soppy film, which seeks the easy tear (in the usual line of Hollywood) but definitely has scenes that touched me deeply. For example, everything that has elapsed since the failed birthday party to kiss the car, These 20-25 minutes are very emotional¡¡¡
Especially I adore Agnes scenes. I feel a lot of empathy for her.

Every time I have more clear that the impact it has on me FA is given by your realism and naturalness, good and bad moments, the everyday .... everything seems very credible. Very sincere.

It's not the sadness of a scene that gets to me, it's the acts of heroism.
Even when it seems doomed to fail Agnes refuses to give up on her love of Elin.

That's what brings a speck of dust to my eye.

Nice words, fish.
I understand you.

In my case, both, sadness and happiness can get to me, also the self-improvement, no surrender...
Agnes suffers, goes through bad times and situations, his love for Elin is your lifeline, although it seems an impossible love.
Therefore her few good moments (bridge, kiss in the car, bath scene, O'Boy) are very enjoyable (well, I admit that in these scenes my eyes wet a little  , only a little :) , moments of beautiful tenderness )
After what she happened, you want her to be happy, so I emphasize a lot with her...That's how I feel  .
