It's certainly more than I've seen my "least watched" copy, the one downloaded from the net.
But I also have a copy from the SBS TV broadcast on disc.
Also one on my TV's hard drive.
Also two "bought" ones, just to see the difference in sub-titles.

I think I'm still way out in front, even though I don't watch it every week.

But I still enjoy it immensely whenever I do. *:)*

Oh yes, you told us you weren't so good with numbers. :P

I think I've seen it like 8 or 9 times.
Once when it first came at the cinemas, once on video maybe a year later, and and maybe 6-7 times since I sort of re-discovered it a couple of years ago.
I definitely enjoyed it the most after the re-discovery, for some reason.
It's been over a year since last time though.

And Fish probably has us all beaten combined, I reckon. :P

This is part of a review written by a Finnish guy in 2002 for IMDb.
Probably sums up my feelings nicely too.

"I raise my glass of chocolate milk for this achingly beautiful movie, without this my own past would be more dark and forgotten, but you, Lukas, Alexandra, Rebecka and the rest have reminded me what love is all about and why it's still worth seeking.

It's not just a good movie, it's one of those rare certainly good things on earth."

Smartarse. :P

Yeah, I became particularly obsessed around the third time, in 2008, for some reason. Though I was kind of temporarily obsessed the first time, in 2001, but I didn't even have a computer then so there was little opportunity to follow it up or find out much more about the film or Bex, Alex etc...

I've watched FA more than once and less than a 1000 times. It should be somewhere in-between

Sometimes a film just absorbs you in that you got to rewatch it over and over :D . Fucking Amal was that film for a few years. The Dark Knight, The Life of Others, Let the Right one In, Drive and Blue is the Warmest Colour is some more films that have had the same treatment with me. All classic films that if my house burned down they be the first things I take with me.

with me it's kind of opposite I've watched it less as I got older. Watched it along with a few other Moodysson film's a few months ago and it's still holding up after all these years,

My first copy was on a recorded of T.V one night by my younger brother. It was a double bill along with another Lesbian Teenage drama called All Over Me. Although Fucking Amal was missing everything up to the Elin kissing Agnes for a bet. So I only had a hour and a bit of the film. Still engrossed me enough. That I got it on VHS for 5 euro and totally worn out that copy. So finding it on DVD and on a Moodysson box set was glorious. So hoping for a Blu-ray with some extra's would be the next step if they ever do it.

Yes, I've been wondering if they'll do a Blu Ray. I'm really hoping so, cause there's an instant purchase. :D

If they plan on doing another Moodysson Box set this time on Blu-Ray or if criterion collection get their hand's on the rights to Moodysson's films then I don't think we ever see it sadly. Even though it has a small cult probably not enough to warrant a Blu-ray release.

Oh, I don't know. They seem to release practically anything on Blu these days - even awful old slasher movies from the early 80s with zero production values. Can't see SML being any more obscure than half of them!

True Ian :D I just don't want another Vanilla Release really, Amal fan's deserve a disc packed with extra's for their patience , a commentary with Alexandra/Rebecka maybe a new interview with the two of them. A English Commentary from Moodysson plus a few deleted scenes and small documentary. That's not asking a lot  . A new designed cover too would be awesome that's why I'd love criterion collection to get the rights they would give it some great extras too.

We all will keep our Finger's crossed cause if Moodysson's new Film gets top reviews and becomes bit of a cult hit in UK and the States maybe they will release his past films on Blu-ray.

I'd be looking at buying another copy, plus a Blu-Ray player. :?

Not that there's any doubt I'd do it. *:)* *:)*
