Now, I am no longer in love but I think a lot.
I do not still understand...

Well when I am curious about something/someone I want to know more about it (/him/her). I may be attached to memories, for example (related to FA) even if I don't have any more much to say about the movie, every so often I watch the Amal webcam and update the thread here (well, now that I think about it, it's been some time...).
I don't think this is idolizing. (and I don't like idolizing, too).
I am not in helpless love with the actresses, I don't think Moodysson is a genius (he was good in FA, but some of his other work is not), I'm not going on a trip to Sweden to visit the places where the film was made (I could find time and money to do that, but what the use?). Maybe, simply, you admire this work. It managed to say something to you nothing else said.
But... the deeper feelings it awakened are about you and not about the movie, probably?

After meditating I found why this movie affected me so much.

in times that When I saw movie i had yearn about my loves in my youth. I've lived the same like movie, with mistakes, jokes, successes. And that would never return with that innocence.
Everything that happened in the movie has happened to me in different times and different relations of love and friendship. Just everything, including scenes with friends and parents.
The behavior of all of them I have also lived timidessa, of others laugh, laugh at me, I said, do crazy things, get away from home, etc.
My father is like mother Agnes and my mother is like her father. I have also been without friends.

I've had in love the movie and the Agnes too, she has experienced the same as me.
I am very glad I found it. *:)* *:)* *:)*

At the moment all the scenes in the movie have disappeared. My love for the movie has receded. The twentieth anniversary of Åmål has been as big farewell. :W
But I don't want it to be, I like being here. :Y

And I like you being here Santi.

You can't force yourself to go on loving something like you did at the beginning.
It's different as time passes.
I know from personal experience that I'm far more interested in the lives Bex and Lex are now leading.
I want them to be happy and I love finding out that they are.

In my previous w*rking life I was responsible for a lot of "finding out" about things.
I developed a certain skill set and it gives me enjoyment to continue to use the skills I've obtained.
Nothing malicious, I'm just a devoted Bex/Lex follower.

There are still things to discover about Fucking Åmål, about Lukas and everyone else involved in making the film too.
If we knew everything already it would be boring.

So here I am, when I first joined the forum it was just for a short term, but that was many thousands of posts ago so now I consider myself "rusted on".

I would love to find that there are lots of other "rusted on" supporters too. :D

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, Santi. It's impossible to go on burning with that kind of obsessiveness. That burning fire died for me quite a while back - hell probably as far back as 2011 when Emma became my obsession lol - but there's nothing wrong with that. I still rank the film very highly in my all time top 10, it just doesn't pervade my thoughts every day of the week like it did back in 2008. That's alright; it wouldn't be healthy if it did!
As long as the candle still holds a flicker of a flame, that's good enough IMO. :D

There's nothing wrong with an obsession simply becoming an interest/hobby. You can never have too many of those IMHO.

I'm happy because I was in Trollhattan just before dismantling the filming buildings. *:)*
But i dont speaking English, I didn't know they were going to tear it down, I would have taken a piece of wall.

Just like Agnes and Elin when they tried to go to Stockholm (hundreds of kilometers) to fun, I also did her same madness. :T

That would have been a great souvenir. *:)*

If you sold little pieces to people like me you could have nearly paid for your trip.
