I love hearing it in Swedish, and I know the script so well by now that I rarely use subtitles. :T

My Finnish version (which is the Nordic version) has the commentary track in both Finnish and Swedish. He doesn't talk much though, seems to have been a while since he last saw the movie.

It's kinda funny commentary though, at first he's like "I have no idea what I'm supposed to say" but finds a lot more things to say as the movie progresses. At one point he even admits to not having a DVD player (this was in the early 2000 though).

Hi MSandt. :W
I'd be ready to buy a Finnish one if there were any other "extras".
Out-takes, deleted scenes and such like.
I have several copies which I bought to see if I could find the best sub-titles but none have any extras. *:|* :P

Nah, the Finnish version only has the commentary track, cast biographies, a trailer and "interactive menus". Even the Swedish version I have (a recent re-release; has a nice cardboard slipcase) only has the commentary track.

Ah, pity.

I wish one day they will release a new Blu Ray or DVD version with a English commentary with Moodysson along with Alex and Rebecka talking about the memories of making the film and do another commentary with other cast members, I'm such a few would do it. Throw in the deleted scenes, Interviews with Alex and Rebecka, a Making of and Catching up with the other cast. Plus Digitally re-master it. I doubt it happen but it would be nice.

I find it rather baffling that it hasn't already, to be honest.

Same with NdP/Water Lilies, surely it's about time...?

It'd be nice for us fans but not sure if it'd make a lot of sense in general; it's not like putting it on Blu-ray is gonna do anything about the grainy film quality. But it's inevitable anyway!

Even if it was released again in Sweden on Blu Ray or DVD (it was a massive hit of its time) you think it would have got some special anniversary release with a lot of new extras and stuff. I can understand over in Europe and the rest of the world maybe, until Moodysson does a big film that makes a mark on Hollywood which means they release everything he did before that film, then I think we won't be seen any new release of FA with any extras. But I'm surprised with Sweden not releasing a special edition over the years.
