I am very surprised that they have digitized the movie but they do not put it for sale.
Other times I have seen similar things in movies, first remastering them thinking they will sell more and when they see that nobody wants them, they do not do anything new.
I think that's it.

There is no demand, they will not do it.

Very disappointing that there hasn't been an official re-release of Fucking Åmål.
Svenska Filminstitutet occasionally put out some publicity but none of it indicates a release is to happen.
The HD version seems to be the one they show at festivals and such, but even there I can't find any "making of" vids, or anything like that.

Do we know if anyone has contacted Filmhuset or anyone like that who might be helpful?

There were tiny vids of Bex and Lex at the time of the presentation but it all seemed to go quiet very quickly.
I've seen nothing since. *:|*
