Kind of a let down, but at least he was to the point and gave me a definitive answer. We can only hope for a physical release in the more distant future.

Wasn't aware of the fact that FÅ is on HBO Nordic. I knew that Lukas worked on a series a while back that were to be exclusive for the service. Will have to investigate some more on this.

On a side note, I'll be watching the digitally remastered version for the first time tomorrow! They'll be showing the film at a independent cinema in Växjö. :-)

The HBO Nordic service is accessible through a web browser at https://se.hbonordic.com/. But I'm more or less certain that you can't use this anywhere outside of the Nordic countries, so you'll have to use a proxy service or something like that I'm afraid. At least for right now.

So I've now watched the digitally remastered version! Overall I'm very pleased with the quality. It took me some time to adjust to how everything looked and sounded as I'm thoroughly used to watching the DVD versions, but oh how good it felt to see this on the big screen! :-)

I hear you Ian. I'm not a fan of these video on demand services and it always bothers me when people claim that it's the future. When I purchase a film I really like I want to be able to watch it years in the future as well. Regardless of my internet connection or if the company's servers are up and running. On top of that, they'll have to take FÅ down from there eventually as it's surely not licensed for all eternity. From a consumer's point of view physical media will always have great benefits (not just for us fans who also want something pretty on the shelves to look at), but beggars can't be choosers apparently.
