I've noticed that the audio in the digitally remastered version is in a slightly darker pitch compared to all of the home video releases I've listened to prior. I observed the same thing when I visited that cinema in Växjö one month ago. It's only clear when you listen to the soundtrack, slightly darker compared to the CD versions as well. It makes me wonder how things sounded from the original analog version of Fucking Åmål.

Finally!
After a couple of solid days of medical appointments and such, (not for me this time.... yippeee! *:)* )
I got to start watching it but only for a few minutes. :Z
Thank you again for sending it Eldsjäl.
Much appreciated. _O_

I didn't notice anything strange with the audio, but I really did only get to see a few minutes.
I did however notice that the colour saturation seemed very high.
Is that just me not being used to the higher definition or has anyone else notice it too?

Anyway, I just need to get a couple of meals cooked and I'll be back with Agnes and Elin again. *:)* :D *:)*

I don't think the picture is over-saturated but it certainly is different colour-wise. At least compared to the Swedish home video releases. Interestingly enough out of the releases I own both the French and Japanese DVDs have some post colour correction filter added to them (or the colour balance is altered or whatevs). But yeah I'm used to the colours being very warm almost reddish and I always thought that it just was part of that distorted effect they wanted to achieve having shot everything on negative 16 mm film. Both Lukas Moodysson and Lars Jönsson have reportedly seen the new restored version during it's development and given it their approval. Is this how Fucking Åmål looked and sounded on the silver screen back in ’98?

I threw together this comparison video concerning the sound differences: https://youtu.be/F4QLeh-ZYgI

Hope you'll understand what I meant earlier with the pitch being slightly darker. It's just barely noticeable with any spoken dialog.

Don't mention it! :-)

I do not know any artist who anybody modifies his original work without complaining. Except if there is money.

It's like accepting that he did it wrong and now a boycomputer will repair his previous error.

I didn't mean it as a bad thing, just that I noticed a difference.
I love seeing Bex and Lex all bright and colourful, and especially in clear HD. *:)*
