Do not wait too time long or don't will be left nothing about movie in Trollywwood. :W

Eldsjäl wrote:I don't believe that's the reason as to why the film wasn't shot in Åmål. All things considered Lukas seems to have been pretty aware of what there was to see in Åmål. You have to keep in mind that the film had a small budget of roughly 9,400,000 SEK and the studio Film i Väst is seated in Trollhättan. Most the actors would be cast locally so it was probably in many ways quicker and cheaper to keep things there as much as possible.

Lukas never minded the village of Amal. When any hear the name of movie sound the money. :Y

Don't The same thing happened for drivers who saw the road scene.

And I... that I don't speak english and everything was in Swedish. Only the language of the signs. :T

I'm not sure the good people of Åmål would have been prepared for that.
The horror, the horror. Image :P

By the way Eldsjäl, I've tried to send you a couple of PM's but I can't find any evidence that they were sent.
Just trying to say that I've sent you some $$$'s which you should have by now.
Please get in touch if something goes wrong.

Here are some additional recordings of Augustifamiljen if anyone fancy seeing some more.

Broder Daniel - Whirlwind: https://youtu.be/A1LqFYfteQA

Foreigner - I Want to Know What Love Is (only some seconds of it, notice that there also is a
choir singing here): https://youtu.be/Hwqkx-baGaU

At the town's library they had some contemporary newspaper articles related to Fucking Åmål on display:

I like the vids too. :D
Whirlwind is so special.
I see Agnes whenever I hear "I was a whirlwind, and she's just a superstar".
Not embarrassed to admit that it brings a tear to my eye. :D

It was a pretty fun experience! My sentimentality easily gets triggered whenever the FÅ soundtrack comes to mind. :-)

Wow, that seemed like a interesting time Eldsjal if you are die hard fan of FA, they had everything for everybody and nice to see it got some press coverage. I think I would have enjoyed the concert a lot, the front man of the band really went all out on stage, i love that. That was a cool idea as the soundtrack is one of my favorite things of the film, although I'm not a big fan of the dance music from the film although shame they didn't do Robyn's "Show Me Love" they could have done a rockier version of it.

Wow the real Amal seems like a place to live as a teenager that would drive you mad and want to escape lol. I don't think the film would have been effected at all if they film there but with low budget films you have to go for the cheaper choice. Great to Ralph Carlsson turn up for a Q and A, it be tough to really get a in depth Q and A with him as I doubt he would have been there on set for too long. I can't imagine a lot of the cast are not even acting anymore and some are probably busy with families and jobs. Like Ralph, besides Alexandra, Rebecka, Erica and Lukas or a crew member, a lot of the cast were probably on set for a few days at most. I think Rebecka only shows up to events close to her and if you offer her a nice pay day, Alexandra is a globe setter but she did turn up for showings at big festivals, Erica seems like she's busy been a mother and is out of the film business and Lukas doesn't do anything unless it's for his new film.

I wonder how they spread the whole events out for a few days to keep fans there interested. I wonder besides Ravel, where there many fans from other countries or were they all Swedish.

Good question.

I also wonder if the organisers were surprised that the film had so much international attention. *:)*
