...because Eldsjal was the stage director.

(Do you know what is Eldsjäl in Swedish?)

Yes.

And the name seems to fit well.

Good question.

I also wonder if the organisers were surprised that the film had so much international attention. *:)*

Would have gone if this happened years ago, couldn't get the time to go these days more important stuff in my life like work, and getting to Sweden ain't cheap. I admire the people for running this festival considering they couldn't get any of the three big names (Moodysson, Dahlstorm, Liljeberg) from the film, I wonder if they knew about the festival or where they contacted to be a part of it. If they were, would have been nice if one of them could have sent a message or done a Q and A on Skype, I suppose Moodysson is busy with his HBO show, Liljeberg with her career and Dahlstorm with her jet setting life. I be shocked if the Organizer's didn't get in touch.

I remember here in Dublin, they had a 10 year anniversary for Once in 2016 (Oscar winning film, I think most people on here would know this film) and the Organizer's didn't have plans of getting in touch with the male lead Glen Hansard as they felt he was too famous. Well what happened is Hansard heard of the festival through a few friends and during the shown of the film, he showed up and after the film he played three songs from the film and did a q and a for 60 minutes. Signed the Guitar to be sold off for Charity.

I'd be surprised if that was the case as Ralph Carlsson must have been invited.
But I guess you should never underestimate the stupidity of some event organisers. :T :P

In Spain when one says that does Swedish, it means that one becomes deaf, that one does not want to hear anything.

Maybe Alex, Bex and Lucas did this

You never really know unless you try is how any organiser should be thinking. I'm sure the event managers of FA week must have got in touch or sent out feelers to see if any cast or crew from the film would be interested. The difference with Once is that was a massive hit film around the world and won a Oscar and has had a successful award winning musical made about it, so getting Hansard they felt was tough as he's a successful solo artist and tours a lot. But they were lucky and they had main male lead turn up, Also helps he lives in Dublin.

They were the worst days. Far from vacation or weekend. Everyone, celebrities and people are busy working.

Nonetheless. For me it has been a great little and big dream after so many years. But what has hurt me is that within a few hours any trace of this event was erased.
In a city that thanks to a film that did nothing, has grown in tourism and is known worldwide.
It is disrespectful to use that and after doing a "tribute", erase it after 5 minutes.

It seems that the 20th anniversary of FA in Åmål has lit the fuse.

Has been the beginning of the end. :(

The end of the last remaining scenes of FÅ in Trollhättan.
We only have the balcony to ask Agnes .

"Agnes, Agnes, wherefore art thou Agnes?"
Shakespeare couldn't have written it any better. *:)* :P

I hate to think that it's the end in Trollhätten, it's a significant part of their history.

Possibly.
But Axel would be 20 or so years older than that now.

And this is his current Instagram profile pic, complete with Alex peeking out in the bottom left corner. *:)* 8)

So maybe it isn't Axel. :(
