Seems like every year they are tearing something down from the film. Sad but as you said it's inevitable, life moves on and things change. Didn't they get rid of the Bridge where Agnes and Elin talk before the kiss scene, a few years back. Sad really.

That footbrigde (Syltebron) was torn down in 2010 – soon nine years ago! Crazy. There’s now a much bigger bridge for all kinds of traffic around the same area. It’s such a shame since this probably was one of the film’s most iconic locations.

Really depends on how big a film was and what it can bring to a city, if FA went and made a huge impact world wide and got Oscars and made everyone a big star and such. I think they would probably have had kept the Pub around and put a plaque there or something. Can you name a big film that went world wide from the country you live in and I bet that government and the town the film was based in, didn't touch a thing and made it a tourist attraction. I just don't think FA had that impact over the years sadly.

Wouldn't be surprising really, seen that most of Behind the Scene pictures show the cast and crew covered up in some serious winter clothing. You can also see it in the Actresses how body that they didn't have to act cold cause they were lol.

This took a rather depressing turn! ;-)

According to this representative I got in contact with, the kiosks will be demolished somewhere around the 16th of April. We’ll need to keep our eyes on that live feed as we’re getting closer to this date, if we want to catch the exact moment.

Perhaps I wouldn't see it with a sense of loss if the whole cast and crew were getting together there to celebrate, with fireworks and everything. *:)*
