Today (April 10) has come the truck to disassemble the pub during all afternoon.

The short answer is yes, this got quite emotional for me. I’m eager to revisit Trollhättan again in the future.

Overall this was a very hastily put together visit as I tried to visit many places on a single day. Drottningtorget and Sylteskolan being the only two urgent things. I am still planning to take a lengthier trip to Trollhättan so I really can take my time to explore the town, hopefully later this year. I didn’t see all of the locations this time around and still got home pretty late.

The weather was excellent! Apart from it being somewhat windy it’s normally about the best you can get here in springtime Sweden. Trollhättan is as you know a very beautiful town in reality being built around a big river.

When I first looked for a place to park I coincidentally ended up at the Ice rink and from there I quickly spotted a location from the film:


From this place I walked to Drottningtorget where I took my pictures you saw earlier. The place had a big fence around it and people were walking by all the time so I decided not to test my luck by finding my way inside. Still, I did my best to get some decent shots.

Knowing that Agnes’ house (or the Ahlberg family’s, I should say) is only a quick walk from Drottningtorget I got too tempted and just went. There was clearly somebody at home but I never was confronted by anyone and I tried to not make a big deal out of the fact that I was walking around there with my big camera. It felt rather good being there.







I was in a good mood walking all the way back to the Ice rink. Before arriving in the southern part of Trollhättan (the Sylte area) I made a quick stop at Film i Väst. I instantly noticed that rabbit statue in the nearby area that we talked about here on this site awhile back.

And here’s the part of the Film i Väst building where the general public normally is allowed in, but it was the weekend you know.

I managed to spot something from the window:

This place should look familiar. Knowing good and well in beforehand that it should look similar to how it did in ’98 I didn’t expect that I would be that taken aback by it, but I got goosebumps seeing this in person. Really happy that I went there.

Lastly here’s the new bridge close to where the old Syltebron was. Some despicable prick(s) had apparently sabotaged all the bus stops in the area.
