They only mention Swedish subtitles as of now but we’ll see. SF actually included English subtitles the last time they released FÅ on DVD around here.
Another uncertainty I’d like to address here, the Swedish film institute made two versions of the HD remaster, one with digitally reduced graininess and another with the grain intact. This was supposedly done because they thought that a grainy image would be tricky to get to look right on a smaller resolution screen. That version that was available on SVT Play in 2018 was without the grain. When I saw the film on theater that year, both in Växjö and Åmål, I was presented with the grainy version. That was how the film was meant to look. Which one will be on the Blu-Ray?
This info page on Discshop.se mentions that the resolution is 1080p, and not say 4K, if this is true then chances are that they are going with the de-grained version. But it's hard to know for sure. Either one looks pretty good of course.
Also, I’m sincerely hoping for some new bonus content. Seeing how many re-releases there have been on home video here thus far, without there being added any behind the scenes content etc, we should probably not expect too much.
“Whatever. We'll go there and burn the house down. Come on. Please...”
