Some do... Unfortunately there are a lot of so called extremist Christians in America. They don't appreciate other's opinions... and certainly not this movie.

Am I the only American that likes Fucking Amal? I can't believe so many Americans hate this movie. I think I want to move to somewhere in Europe. I just bought the movie and I love it. When I heard about the movie I knew I had to get it so ordered it online. But I think all that counts is what we think about the movie becuase some people just don't understand love.

... and life.

But you are not the only one who loves this movie in America. Only in America there are a lot of people who make it damn hard for someone to have an other opinion. The land of the free (many Americans say). But only if you have the same opinion. I couldn't live there to be honest. But that only goes for some states.

It's true that America has it's ups and downs, the vast land that's known as 'the land of the free'. So maybe the saying stems from the war of independance, and rightly so, freedom was won, but it's hardly a term that has earned an eternal place in America's history, nothing and noone is truly free. The sheer size of the country only makes it harder for people to move on, and for societies to change.

The lack of history in North America has prompted religion to be the key focal point of the people's ideals, a substitute, if you will. Combine that with years of isolationism, and you can work out the equation as to why many states, cities, towns, villages, find it hard to adjust. People fear what they don't understand, and it's my opinion that this key point is the dividing factor between you, arkz, and the vast majority of your fellow countrymen.

I could only ever live in the states if I were to find someone to love, there's no material reason why I would migrate across the pond, in a society where voting for a judge, amongst other things, is an everyday custom.

It's not a land of freedom, It's a land of majorities.

As an afterthought: Arkz, If you want to move to Europe, the UK might seem like the obvious choice for Anglophones. A word of advice: Don't Choose London - It's about 4x as expensive than the rest of the country, and it's about twice as congested, dirty and downright impolite. The last one is my humble opinion, but the first three points are iron-clad facts.

I'm sorry I didn't reply to your post. I agree with you mostly. I like your idea that "it's not a land of freedom, It's a land of majorities."

I voted for FA but there are so many really stupid movies on that list that I'm surprised we were even on it. So don't worry if it's no on it.
