Sherdil on Youtube/dvd

Sherdil (or at least most of it) is up on Youtube! It seems to be a legitimate upload, too, since the people who've uploaded it apparently have the rights and are (according to the message they just sent me) working to get it released on dvd. It's subtitled, too. Only problem is it isn't very good picture quality when downloaded, so I might wait until the dvd (hopefully not too long, though they don't say when). There's a link to their site on their YT page, too.

Just thought I'd let you all know!

Just finished watching Sherdil tonight. Very enjoyable. I didn't think I was going to like it at first, I thought the ten minutes or so were pretty lame. But then it seemed to perk up considerably and I got into it. Ended up really enjoying it.

And, needless to say, Rebecka is absolutely goddamn adorable and gorgeous throughout.

The second one I made is very good. Blipless even.

Mm, it was great quality, save for freezing up in the last 10 minutes.

Yet the disc works fine on the computer. Baffled.

I found Sherdil on YT about a week ago, before joining the forum. It is actually a pretty nice movie. I cannot believe how hard some people have slammed it on film review sites. Yeah, it's got some issues, but still pretty good for a first film by a young director.

Although Sherdil was a tad bit cliche, I still think it's a good family-friendly film. It definitely pushes all the right buttons for the horse-girl audience. If I could find it on DVD with English subtitles, I would buy it for the horse-girls I know.

I have found myself watching more and more foreign and independent films lately, mostly because they are not as bound by the Hollywood big media corporations to be formulaic. I wish more of these were available through mainstream DVD outlets, instead of having to find them on NetFlix streaming video, YouTube or whatever.

You seem to have contracted the same Rebecka virus that the rest of us have, no cure is known so just enjoy it. You'll find heaps of stuff here about all sorts of things, so I hope you enjoy that too.

Many of us would love to have the dvd, even without English sub-titles, but I'm afraid that it's out of production.
I haven't even been able to find an old used copy on Ebay anywhere in the world, so I've had to make do with converting these clips and burning them to dvd. I'd still buy a "real" one if/when it's available again.

Hey, thanks for the link to the high(er) def Sherdil vids, mate! I was searching high and low today all over europe's Internet for any hard copy. I found a recently closed auction for the VHS version on tradera.com -- so close, only to be denied!
