I paid $3 via Paypal for a 1 day membership which let me download at about three times the speed, but I had to download a "free download manager" to get the file. All pretty painless really.

Unfortunately, and I don't know if it's just my PC or not, the video breaks up every now and then which is really annoying. If it doesn't improve I might try it all over again.

You don't have to join anything if you just download at slow speed, what are you talking about?

Maybe it was that "free download manager" that messed up the video for you Fish

When I tried to open the link all I got was an error message just like Katka, so I had to go to the Slingfile home page which insisted I join. After that the link you posted took me straight to the SBLM download page. Then I tried slow speed a couple of times but the download "timed out" part way through each time. Then I did it fast speed.
It was either that or throw my 'puter out the window. :x  :T

I'll try to find time to watch it tonight to see if the "break up" glitch is still there. 8)

What little I've seen has some beautiful images. *:)*

I could try some other file host, problem is that not many lets you upload such a large file

An alternative would be for me to edit it into a few smaller files before uploading

Maybe 3 files of 500 mb each would be easier for you to download?

Has anyone else downloaded the file?
And, did anyone else have the same issues as me?

If it was only me then I think the upload and everything was fine, it's probably just my PC which I'm seriously considering chucking out and getting a new one.

I still haven't found the time to play the vid in full yet, maybe it'll be perfect next time. :T

Downloaded it again (just for testing :T). Came quite steadily in 3 hours 29 minutes. :Y Plays fine. ^O^ Lots of beautiful images. :)P *:)*

And really interesting stuff. 8)

By the way, there's more Alex on SVT Play.

Haven't watched it all, but I think the best parts begin at 1:26:40. (Although I'm sure you can spot her in the audience few times before. Sleeping? :? Texting you know who? :Y)

She does look sweet. :)P

I'll check it out Juule, just as I think I'll download SBLM again at slow speed.
But It'll have to wait a day or two until my new PC is set up. *:)*

New PC. :D
SBLM that I downloaded before w*rks just fine now. Thanks again for all your efforts Magnus. *:)*

But...... the new wide screen monitor seems to have an "aspect ratio" problem which I can't fix at the moment.
Everything is stretched laterally so the image takes up all the screen area available.
Bugger. I don't know how the "screen save" pics will turn out.

I'll post a few of the SBLM pics here so can someone please let me know if they're good, or stretched out of proportion?

What's your opinion Alex?

 :P

And another

ps. The SBLM film is really good. If you haven't got it yet, do yourself a favour.
I especially like the part where the two Americans realised they were talking to the woman who played Elin in Fucking Åmål. *:)*

Looks good to me.

Looks like I'll have to pay for it. I always swore I'd never do that. :P

It's worth it.
Trust me, would I ever lie to you? O-)

Here's another couple of the screencaps from SBLM.

Image

It's really difficult to tell because I'm still looking at the widescreen monitor but I'm not sure I've sorted out the aspect ratio issues yet, so I'll go on posting the SBLM caps here and I'd apprectiate it if you would keep a critical eye on them to see if there's still an problem.

I wonder what Alex thinks.

Yeah, there's something wrong with your eyes Fish

And besides even if you have a new widescreen monitor you're still watching through some kind of media-player, no?

In other words the media-player should adjust to the correct aspect ratio if you set it on auto.

Anyway, is SBLM even available to buy on dvd for Ian?

You'd like to think so, but sadly..... :(
When I save a "screen image" I get exactly what's on screen. If the aspect ratio, or anything else is wrong, too bad. What you see is what you get. That's why I'm trying to make sure the screen shows images that are in correct proportion. Of course I'm looking at them on my new monitor so I'm unsure if what looks good to me is good to everyone else.

There are lots of beautiful images in SBLM so I don't want to spoil them.

And, I think Ian the cheapskate doesn't want to spend the $3 so he can download SBLM in under 16 hours. :P

I'd happily buy a subbed dvd if there was one.

I can't even see this option for $3 on there. Cheapest I can see is $9 for a month. Which I've paid, but by e-check which hasn't cleared. And I'm not even sure it's worked either. :T
