Do you think Alexandra will become a Film director

She's still working on smallish films, stage plays and TV and does the odd DJ gig and Modelling work. But in the last few years she started to direct and write a few short films, i haven't seen any sadly so can't say if she's any good at that.

But seen as she has Lukas Moodysson as her mentor (didn't she work behind the scenes on Lilya4ever?) i've seen interviews on youtube of her talking about her shorts and seen clips (she has clearly been influenced in style by Moodysson also Sofia Coppola and Lynne Ramsey) she's got a passion for it and seen as she's probably ain't going to be offered any big film roles. do you think she end up a film director and has she the talent? plus is any of her shorts any good?

Try "Lacrimosa". https://vimeo.com/23103178
Alex seems to have adopted a bit of a Hitchcock way of making appearances in her own films too.
A bonus as far as I'm concerned. *:)*

You just missed "Because the Night" unfortunately. It's month of being available ended on 24th July.
Bound to be up again though.

I think she shows a lot of talent but whether she gets the breaks, or indeed has the ambition, to get into the "big time", who knows.

Wasn't too crazy on Lacrimosa :| . I can see her influence is clearly Lukas Moodysson with the hand held camera but it seemed like a everyday student film to me. Was her voice dubbed in this?? i know she speaks English but it felt like it was dubbed. But it wasn't a bad effort (was it her debut as a director?). Simple enough.

Like most directors she will get better as time goes on with the more short films she does. I seen a interview with her in English discussing Because the night and it looks a far better effort then Lacrismosa and really feels like she has learned a lot more from behind the camera.

What is your favourite Alexandra short film Fish??

It isn't easy to find out what she's made.
Even more difficult to get to see them.

I believe her first was "Kom Hit" for which she won the 1 Km award at the SIFF.
With the money she received for that she made "Because The Night" for the SIFF the next year.

Not sure where or when "Lacrimosa" came out. It possibly pre-dates the others and was made during her time in Italy.
There are others I'm sure, but I can't think of them at the moment.

I think my favourite would be Because the Night.
Less than 10 mins long but tells an interesting story.

I think you can see she got more money in the budget and casting for Because the Night, which really feels like a Sofia Coppola film mixed with Lukas Moodysson. I really like to see her break out as a director in the future she's still young( moodysson didn't make Amal until he was 30). So hopefully she come out with an idea that will bring her success.

Hope so. It would be great to see.

And it would also provide an enduring link to Fucking Åmål. *:)*

i think it would be great to see one of the girls actually have a successful career in the fil world even if its behind the camera plus it would get more attention on Fucking Amal.

Even in that music video she did a Cameo :D

I'd like her to go for a full feature now she's made a few shorts already. Hope she gets the chance.
