Trust me, I know. :P

Now that's not quite true.Image
Sometimes the impossible happens and dorks like that do get girls like that.
I just didn't deserve it. :(

Mind you, I don't think I was that big a dork.
I mean anyone's allowed a bit of dorkiness but he was abusing the privilege. :T

Finally I watched Manana. The beginning reminds me of some italian light (very light) comedies I carefully avoid, still the film has its good points and fun scenes.
The female actresses were better at their job than the male leads of the movie, in my opinion. Swedish/Latin-american director Concha seems to borrow from some eastern cinema the use of a grotesque, totally parodistic character just there to be laughed at (little brother Fernando). Maybe this could have been avoided, it downgrades the film a bit.
Also I was curious about the deleted scenes. Seems another whole different movie is in them!

By the way, I passed from Malmö when traveling to Norway (more than 10 years ago) and from my memories of the trip I remember the city was very beautiful, with a luxurious youth hostel (where I spent the night).

All in all, I had excessive hopes maybe, still Manana is a decent film.

I think I still prefer Rebecka's 'other' movies to Alex's. Though that is no reflection on Alex. :D

I agree with what you both have said. Not a great film but quite pleasant.
If the male roles had been as strong as Alexandra's and Helena's the film would have been pretty good.
