i suggest that everybody should make a signature and writes down there:
- name
- birthday
- location
- sex
(- sexuality)
- ...
that would help to understand posts better (i can only speak for myself but i sometimes get mixed up with some members...)
of course nobody has to do it, it's just a suggestion!

I don't think knowledge about ASL (let alone orientation) is absolutely necessary to understand what people write. And this forum is so small, after a few days you know everybody anyway...
But in fact I very much enjoy that these real life facts usually don't influence internet communication. It's not because I'm so ugly or uptight (quite the opposite!! Haha) but because I think it's much more interesting if you don't apply these categories and instead just listen to what someone says.
With this in mind you may understand why I also find it needless to get anybody's sexual orientation slapped into my face when I read his/her post. I don't care much about this sort of info in real life but rather try to look at what a person is really like. (I try to. I don't always succeed.) Anyway, I certainly don't care about it on the net.
This is just my view on things. I won't get an aneurysma if you or others keep posting their intimate details. That's your business. But since you asked I thought I'd explain why I won't post things like this.
That being said, come to the FA chat and you can ask me pretty much anything.
