Well it doesn't really fit in here, or anywhere else really, as this is sorta fanfic without specifically Lex or Bex (but if you can imagine either of them playing the role ) but it is about the area around Amal in Dalsland.

Stalker In The Dalsland Woods

Short Story, 990 words: Nordic noir, paranormal mystery, dark romance]

February 28th 2010

I sensed it again, as I have for the past week. Making my way alone, along the woodland path, between our farmhouse and the office where I work at the saw mill sheds, here in Dalsland. I pause and take in the air. It is watching, calmly, perhaps even nervously. It waits for me to pass on my daily route, then I feel its prescence fade. I know we both feel the skipped heartbeat of potential meeting, followed by the pain of separation. I feel no intuitive sense of fear, just curiousity and fascination. Personally, I intuit nothing but a need for companionship deep inside. A fellow traveller of the Swedish woodlands unsure and wary, tentatively following me.

This story is a hybrid really. I started it as a potential opener to a novel I started a coupla years ago where I got over 10,000 words in, then put to one side. I didn't really have the opening right but then this one went off in its own direction anyway. I adapted it to fit theLocal.se

I'm not going to load up the next 10,000 words as its still work in progress, which I'm kicking around with a co-writer to try to get it started again. I will however print the epilog to this first section of the novel here, as it's brief, and kinda fits in with the short story I wrote. It also sounds like the kinda thing an Agnes might write.

I had a dream that was dressed in purest white. While I sink back into the dark hole of my icy blackness. The hard-packed snow makes me blind as love. Reflects back the glare in my eyes as I stare into the void. Above me the stars and below me the scars of my memory. Air breath, solid fresh, kills the scent of you. Don’t go, don’t leave, I grieve. I want to see tracks in the snow glowing. I will follow you, your mate for life. No sorrow, only loyalty. I need to feed on flesh and see blood traces of red instead. The Moon makes blue the fields, underneath it waxing. My passion rising, though my hopes are waning. I call for you on the thin night air. A howl so long and deep to match the hole so empty and leached in my heart. I wait patiently for you are no illusion, and there is no confusion in my direction. Is it my imagination? Am I a child ? I hear the echo of your call! Come call me to you, the Call of the Wild!

I've moved back in with Lisbeth. I did survive the night (with her) phew! and Yes I'm determined to track down my Swedish-fan. He's using another email addy now but his ISP number shows up the same. HIs ISP provider is Com Hem, and he is using a portal in Stockholm. Fortunately it isn't just me he annoys, as he spams up other peoples posting with sarky remarks. I'm fairly sure he's expat Brit or American and NOT Swedish. He seems to dislike Sweden and the Swedes. Why doesn't he just get the fuck out then, and stop taking it out on others. On the basis of ''DON'T FEED THE TROLLS'' I don't communicate with him when he posts. He knows I have a veto on any remarks he makes, and yet he still posts There are lots of bridges in Stockholm, why doesn't he just jump off one and try swimming home to wherever he comes from. What a bum.

You're a strange and wonderful person Snaps. I can't even begin to imagine what obscure synapses spark inside your brain but I love the words that spill out for me to read.

Occasionally I catch a glimpse of a long black cape, mysterious figure contained, flash of red, gothic tower, midnight. Then she merges into the mist and is gone. Was that our Snapsie? Or some Zala person clouding my vision?
