OK not really fan-fiction again. I have been re-evaluating the CD by t.A.T.u. 200 KMPH In The Wrong Lane. I know many will have had a knee-jerk reaction ''against'' feeling that the whole franchise was ''cashing-in'' (even I did for a few years). The more I hear, the more I understand. Much of it is subtle. Much of it is down to Trevor Horn and his instictual understanding of events. The girls neither are ''saps''. They were intelligent enough to understand the sub-context. It really is an enjoyable CD even if you are not familiar with FA/SML. There are some strange and challenging choices on the album like ''How soon is now'' originally by the Smiths. It really is an ''Agnes '' song. Even their own version of ''Show Me Love'' is unconnected to Robyn, but without shadow of doubt (if you follow the lyrics) is about FA. it even starts with a telephone call and ''Heloa, heloa?'' It suggests what might have happend had the conversation continued, not then, so certainly what happened after the o'boy. As is ''Not Going To Get Us''. Likewise ''Clowns'' (about the school reaction against Agnes and Elin's life-choices). I think you can follow through and interpret the lyrics of a track like ''Malchick Gay'' as post FA/SML. I'm convinced that this album is the ''missing link''. If you haven't got it. I suggest you buy it, play a lot, enjoy the music, and reflect on the lyrics. They are NOT accidental. Even if you don't agree with me, you will at least be left with the video/promo of ''All The Things She Said'' worth it in itself. :Y

Been a fan of T.A.T.u. for years.
Love the song "Show Me Love", always reminds me of Agnes. :D

dark, spooky mystery based on my true life story :Y, some FA, some LTROI, and a little bit of Ginger Snaps (or is it an April Fool?). Can you solve it?

DISAPPEARED

Image

Alexa and Stella, were two high school students, and committed lovers. Despite the apparent affluence of Alexas surroundings they appeared rootless and ambitionless. They were ill-served by all the agencies which should have been there to help. It was assumed by all, that they would ‘grow out of’ their malaise. They left their parents homes early one morning on 1st April 1998. They have never been seen since. Despite great efforts, they have never been traced. After legal proceedings to obtain closure, an open verdict was recorded. No bodies have ever been found. The only clue to their departure was the following message, left by them. It has been printed in the local newspaper on the anniversary of their disappearance ever since. Only this year has someone worked out what the message was intended to say. Here is the notice:

‘Long time is too many years into the future, we agreed. Is this all that we have left to us? The strange sounds of time passing. Way beyond what we can imagine. Out of the corner of the eye. Of all the things you least expected. Hell has a name for those feelings. That is why we ask you to print this each year. Leads to nowhere if you ask us, most people say. Up in the morning we made an early start. To where we were going, no-one really knew. The newspaper notices still list us as missing. Light when it becomes darkness, then you will have our answer’.

I will post the answer if anybody can be arsed to read the story.

I got as far as "long is the way out of hell that leads up to the light", but then I started to suffer from repetitive brain injury. :T
