I think it's a very natural course of events. Sad, but unavoidable. Recording artists put out new material at least every couple of years, TV shows produce hours and hours of material even if they only last for one or two seasons. And in other cases, at least there will be new movies of the actors and actresses involved in the original. Whereas in our case (although Alex is still struggling to remedy the situation) the community will forever be left with the ever-same 86 minutes, plus some meager side projects à la "Bear's Kiss" or "Fröken Sverige", and some interviews and TV coverage. Let's face it, it's simply not enough to feed an on-going discussion for years. After a while, it is naturally doomed to repeat itself. So, yes, in a way I feel that I (personally) have said all I have to say. Sometimes someone discovers something new, or makes a comment that moves me to lay out my point of view again, but rarely. And that would be the case even if a new generation burst onto the scene. But frankly, I don't see this happening either. Every decade has its classic coming of age movies, and that means that today's kids will have their own. Rather, what could happen in another ten to fifteen years is that we will have a revival of some sort - if hopefully not with scary conventions where the old fans and actors (once beautiful and promising, now fat and disillusioned) meet again, like it's happening now with the classic coming of age movies of the eighties (think "Breakfast Club"). In the meantime, I am happy to have this forum, slow and cosy as it is. Yes, we are not too many, but face it, this has never been a huge community, and since I have been here there never were more than, say, half a dozen prolific writers at a time. And in fact activity right now is not too bad - 2007 was the worst year by far with hardly any activity. So let's enjoy what we have, and settle for the unavoidable that all things shall pass...

Dave is right, of course. I also don't really like to overanalyse everything too much, or it risks spoiling the magic. But I like this place. Yes, it's small, but it's nice. And it's a touchstone. I don't think we have to repeat ourselves endlessly - we know why we're here, and it's a shared little bond, like a secret handshake, that's actually rather nice. I sometimes feel a bit cheated that I wasn't there for the heyday (hell, I didn't even see FA til late 2001, which was already 3 years after the fact  ). It's a shame there isn't a little more activity in the 'off-topic sections', because they're often the lifeblood of a forum. I'm a member of a couple of other forums for things with a lot more material to discuss than FA, but even with them it's surprising how quickly you run out of things to say and start repeating yourself. You end up staying because of the community, and this place is no different.

There's often new photos or video footage which someone finds and posts (especially of Alex), links to downloads etc.

No, it's not as active as some, but it's never going to be. It's a forum for an 11 year old foreign movie and two foreign actresses, one of whom hasn't even made a public appearance for over 4 years. It's always gonna be a little obscure. But I'm glad it's here, and I wouldn't want to lose it for the world. It's a touchstone for FA/Rebecka/Alex fandom. We may be small, but we're still there, and it's nice to know you're not alone.

FÅ is a classic but mostly a small cult movie nowadays, as we've said before

There won't be any 'new generations' for this film, but once in a while a new fan comes along who's discovered it, and that's really nice

The forum is also quite nice, and last year there was a lot of activity here

There's nothing to complain about I think

I agree with Kant1781.
This forum is moving (in part) to other topics (Moodysson movies, swedish films and TV...) but a movie like FÅ can't produce a lot of news.
