Chat session

Hey there everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone would be up for chat session in the next couple of weeks. If so, just leave a message with your yeas or neighs here and Sydney and myself will sort out a date and time, which I will then post here (keep your peeps open B) ).

I've been involved in a few chat sessions on this site, and they're well worth it....

To have a chat with the members of this site would be really great. Before we get into a possible chat, I am wondering how many members, who want to participate in a chat, have acces to IRC. IRC is in my opinion the easiest way to organize a chat session. Oke, let's hear it!

Yeah, I would be up for a chat session. But no, I don't have access to IRC. How do I go about getting access? Sorry, I'm a bit dense where computers are concerned :unsure:

I don't have access to IRC. How do I go about getting access?

It is really easy actually. You just need to download Mirc at <a href='http://www.mirc.com' target='_blank'>http://www.mirc.com</a>. Then we have to set a date and time for the chat. Then we have to make an appointment on an irc server and channel.

For example irc.world.com, #fachat.

server = irc.world.com
channel = #fachat

I am really looking forward to a chat with you all.

I have a suggestion as the chatdate is concerned. How about Saturday 25th of October at 22:00 CET (10pm), that's 9pm London.

I will notify you about the server and channel on Saturday morning at the latest. I will register a channel somewhere for life. B)

Here are the channel and server for the chat next Saturday:

Server: irc.ircstorm.net (you can add the server under file - options)
Channel: #showmelove (choose this channel as soon as you are connected to the server)

If you see this topic then you are in the right room:

next chat saturday 22:00 CET, 9pm London

So, you can try it out in advance. Chatroom is open day and night for unplanned chats.

Oke, let's forget about Mirc. I've integrated a chatapplet on the site now. You can find the chat in the Menu (Press "Launch Menu")

It takes a while before the applet loads.

If you want to go to the Chat now? Press <a href='http://ezkidds.phpwebhosting.com/fa/subpages/javaapplet.htm' target='_blank'>Here</a>

This Chatdate still stands: Saturday 25th of October at 22:00 CET (10pm), that's 9pm London.

What an absaloute success the chat was.... It lasted just over 5 hours and was well worth while...

To all the people who turned up, (especially Seb, Alex, Ikke and of course Clara

) thanks for making it an enjoyable experiance for all concerned.... B)

Yeah It really was great! Although the chatroom is open every day, I suggest a next planned <a href='http://ezkidds.phpwebhosting.com/fa/subpages/javaapplet.htm' target='_blank'>chat</a> event next saturday 1st of November at 22:00 Central European Time, 9pm London.

Yes, I really enjoyed the chat too, and only wish that I could have stayed longer!

I can't make the next chat session as I'll be at a party that night (1st November), but I will definitely be at the next chat session after that!

Well, when I come to think of it. It is not really necessary to arrange chatnights. The room is always open. I suggest a lot of intermediate chats.
