Fanny and Alexander Criterion box set. I was a little apprehensive paying about $70 for this from the states, but the box set is the most beautiful I've ever seen. I'd pay in excess of $100 now that I know what I'm getting. It includes the 3 hour theatrical cut, 5 hour original cut, feature length making of, interviews, essays... gah! This is Bergman's crown jewel! Such an extraordinary film.

It's a bit of an each way bet, but, if you were willing to pay Fox ( ) a bunch of $$$$ you probably wouldn't need to buy the DVD's. I'm pretty sure that a some of those you bought recently are showing on pay tv.

But then again, I bought Sugar Rush while it was still showing on Fox, so what the hell would I know? :T

At least you get to own it and can watch it whenever you like, eh?

I doubt I could afford Foxtel.

Best line in episode 1? Dexter's become a dad. "I'm killing for two now".

"The Amazing Mrs Pritchard"

With Jane Horrocks as Ros Pritchard. (Remember Bubble from Absolutely Fabulous? )

Carey Mulligan as her daughter Emily.

And Jodhi May as Miranda Lennox.

Plus heaps of others in this excellent BBC six part series.

Just seen the first two episodes so far and I'm lovin' it.

I take it you haven't seen Little Voice, fish? You should - it's superb, and Jane Horrocks is awesome in it.

Little Voice sounds good too. Think I'll track that down once my current project is done.

Getting hold of stuff featuring Jodhi May in a good role.
Loved her in Tipping The Velvet, and who knows, without Nan on the scene, ..... , hmmmm. :)P

My Alex Mack dvd has arrived! *:)*

I've just spent a ridiculous amount of money to get less than 5 mins of footage from that Double Dare ep with Amelia. :T

I think I need a cheaper addiction. Crack cocaine, perhaps?

Been putting off watching the last episode of "The Amazing Mrs Pritchard" but finally watched it today.
What a brilliant series.
Laughter, tears, all it needed was a good song and dance and it would have had everything.

Definitely three thumbs up.

The reason I watched it today was that the next instalment in the Jodhi May project arrived.
Daniel Deronda.

Can't imagine it's anywhere near the standard of TAMP, but you never know.
And Jodhi is in it. :)P
