I just love Ab Fab. So funny.

And Saffy is gorgeous in a downtrodden but slightly rebellious way. *:)*

She was a lot hotter as the vicious junior newspaper editor in Press Gang.

She does at that.
Lovely eyes.

"Press Gang"?
When/where was that on?
Is it still around? Like on DVD or something?

Thanks for that.

I found an 8 disc set (one disc is supposed to be all "extras") on Ebay for around $70 AU which is quite a bit cheaper than the whole series box set on Play, so I went with that one. I do actually remember enjoying a couple of episodes of "Press Gang" years ago so I have no hesitation in buying the lot now.

The phrase "fool and his money" springs readily to mind. :T

 No, no killer statues in Press Gang.

Plenty of killer one-liners, though.

Ok. Making Maya.
I was looking forward to it, as was the girls' basketball team. *:)* *:)* :)P *:)* *:)*

You know how every time I buy some obscure DVD it always turn out to be a little gem?
I was 20 out of 20 before this, and now I'm 20 out of 21. *:|*

The girls were cute enough, the acting was pretty fair, even the underlying story of a girl trying to get a basketball scholarship to university was OK. But there was zero chemistry between the two girls, one, repeat one, little snog was all you got. A case of a little curiousity but no real intent.

Technically there was an audio issue as well, the music and the background noise was way louder than the speech volume so we had to strain to hear what was being said.

And also, if you have a story about a budding basketball prodigy, make sure you cast someone who can actually play the game. Mean to say.

The girls gave me the Agnes salute on the way out.
I could only agree with them. *:|* Image

Hot Metal series 1 and 2, off ebay. Hot Metal was a classic 80s comedy series about a newspaper going seriously downmarket (ala The Sun) in its quest for readership, starred Robert Hardy, Geoffrey Palmer (in series 1) and Victor Meldrew himself, Richard Wilson (in series 2). Also co-written by One Foot in the Grave's David Renwick. Really looking forward to seeing this again. :D
