I bought the dvd.
Early last year I think it was.

You'll love it.
You've got a sick mind. :P

I have a bad feeling that, now I can actually play and get the benefits of Blu-ray discs, I will soon have a new (and costly) obsession. :(

Y'know, I was intending to put Rare Exports with other films from 2010 in a multi-disc set when it got here, but oh the packaging  :)P .
I'm not sure I can bring myself to part with it. Suppose it depends on how much I like the film.

Nothing like a picture of the starved and caged Santa, guarded by men with guns, on your shelf, right? :P

I thought it was a great film, the finns have such a obscure dark humour.

It's my birthday and I received quite a haul:

Criminal Minds season 5 and Dollhouse season 1 on DVD.

And my first ever Blu-rays: Aliens, Terminator 2 and The Perks of Being A Wallflower. Coooool. *:)*

Thank you both. :D

They declined my invitation. :(

Fortunately Emma and Clemence showed up, so stuff 'em if that's their attitude. :P

Let the Right One In, on Blu-ray. Looks absolutely STUNNING. It's like being in Sweden! *:)* :D

LTROI, like Water Lilies/NdP and FA, is a true labour of love in every single department, notably the cinematography.

Hoyte van Hoytema's signature hyperreal look reminds me a lot of Crystel Fournier's for NdP, and was apparently also a big influence on the TV series Les Revenants.

What haven't I bought lately?

Terminator Blu-ray.
That 70s Show season 1 Blu-ray (they've gone back to the original negative and not only made it HD but widescreen too. Looks gorgeous apparently)
The Harry Potter Blu-ray box set
A new multi-region Blu-ray player
The Bill 1994 DVD

If I go bankrupt, you know what to blame. :( :T
