The "Oh doctor, I've hurt my ankle" scene from La Lisère.
(Let's see if that can give you a better dream Dave.) :P

I dunno Fishie, it looks like there's a trap being set there, to me [by Acquart's character, for the poor maligned doctor, I hasten to add] :(

It was hard work, I can tell you, and left me wondering and quite shaken. Would have made a great [if very dark] film, but dreaming it was another matter...! Muggers, gangs, cripples [I was one, struggling to walk, using a stick], drunks & junkies, psychopathic criminals, foul weather, crumbling graffiti-daubed infrastructure, dodgy girls - a lowlife extravaganza set about 10 years in the future, in a place nobody in their right mind would want to be.

 :? :r

Strangely enough he gets absolutely zero sympathy from me. :| :P

I can recommend a female lead when you get around to casting the film. *:)*

It's from all those pics with Alice de Jode behind the scenes on La Lisière.
(I tried a softer fade from pic to pic at first but it made the file around 20meg instead of less than 3 like this one.) :T

Oh! And in case you don't remember seeing Alice before.....

Les Lendemains will be out on DVD from June 1st.
(Luckily I was able to get a copy from a film festival judge several months ago. Exit smug mode.) 8)

"Les Lendemains will come out on DVD to editions Les Mutins de Pangée!!
You can find it on their website as soon as the 1st of June (for subscribers) and then at:
- Les Belles Lettres 13 June
- on the site arcades on 28 June
And in bookstores and specialised shops!..."

Nothing there yet, but the websites are here, http://www.lesmutins.org/and http://www.lesbelleslettres.com/, and probably on Ebay or similar soon after. *:)*

And doesn't Pauline look excited. :Z :-P

Sorry, I didn't really have time to post here, I was only lurking.

*:)* Cool, at last! (I wasn't particularly waiting but I'll buy it for the collection, this might get rare :P .)

Another shot of Pauline in a train? And even better than the last one? Oh my, I really should finish that damn fanfiction.

Long ago fish wrote:I've noticed Santi logged in regularly but he hasn't said anything for a while.

I think he has the "log automatically" option on.

EDIT: nevermind my last statement, I've seen that he posted.

I have a theory that if you spend enough time travelling on French trains you will eventually find Pauline, sound asleep, on one of them. :Z :T

Maybe she's just tired of all the waiting for "that damn fanfiction" too. :P

L'Acquart Dangereuse...?

That pic makes me remember my translation of a famous Jacques Brel song, brutally murdered in the English-speaking world by Rod McKuen's dreadful, mawkish rewrite as [Edit for crappy title - duhh] "If You Go Away" :r

Ne Me Quitte Pas

Do not leave me now. For we must forget
What we both forgot, what's already fled.
Must forget the times we misunderstood,
And how time was lost in the asking why.
Must forget the hours that we killed with blows,
With the blows of why to the heart of joy.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.

I am offering you little pearls made of rain
From a far country where it has never rained.
I will dig in the earth even after my death
To cover your flesh in gold and in light.
I see a domain where love will be king,
Where love will be law, where you will be queen.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.

Do not leave me. I'll invent for you,
Senseless words that only you'll understand.
I am speaking of those who truly love,
Who look twice, and their hearts are burning up.
I will tell the history of a king,
Dead because he could never be with you.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.

It's often been seen, the reflection of flame
On a volcano's rim that we thought was too old.
It seems it can be, that the burned-up land
Will bring forth more grain, make a sweeter April.
As evening comes near, with a sky aflame
Do the red and the black not marry as one?
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.

Do not leave me. I will cry no more.
I will talk no more. I will hide somewhere.
Just to see you dance, and to see you smile,
See you sing and listen, and see you laugh.
I'll become the shadow of your shadow.
Shadow of your hand. Shadow of your dog.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.
Do not leave me.

Cheers, Fish! I did try to include the chords, but the html auto-formatting made nonsense of their positioning...you can find them easily on the net, anyway.
