All of a sudden I thought my luck had changed.
That I'd actually found the film. *:)*
Then, all the promising signs just led back to a place we'd been before. :T :(

Emailing les auteurs seems to have borne fruit in the past, fishy...?

...and if I could package whatever it is that makes l'Acquart so touching, I think I'd get rich pretty damn quick.

I did try early in the piece without a response.
Maybe I should try again. Image

Yay, new pictures! *:)* Oh wait...

I too was thinking of emailing someone from the crew of La nuit tombe. Never got to do it (I feel like I've said this before :T ).

Anyway, I did two acquisitions recently: Les lendemains and Parenthèse. Seen Les lendemains, it's a good movie, filmed in a naturalistic, improvisational style, somewhat subdued too. The actors are very good. Pauline Parigot has charisma. I recommend the movie, even though it isn't very joyful. Pauline Acquart appears throughout the movie but isn't the main concern. Her character is a counterpoint to that of Parigot.
Parenthèse I haven't seen yet, it's on my long list.

About Les lendemains, I read a number of articles and did a couple searches, and here's what I found, which indirectly relates to Pauline:
https://www.lexpress.fr/culture/cinema/pauline-parigot-j-etais-portee-par-la-bienveillance-de-benedicte-et-de-son-equipe_1240046.html

I roughly translate the interesting parts:

The timidity she [Pauline Parigot] managed to defeat when, six months after her arrival to Paris, she took part in the casting for Les lendemains, the first feature film by Bénédicte Pagnot [she did documentaries before that]. "The casting director, Christel Barras (Tomboy...) is a friend of my parents. So, when I turned up in Paris, I informed her that I was finally starting." And a little later, she [Barras] proposes her to audition.
As soon as the first meeting, chance has her do the screen tests with another Pauline, Acquart (whom the same Christel Barras launched [I can't find the exact english equivalent for this verb] in Naissance des pieuvres), who would become, in the end, her partner.

Exactly. I was going to send an email a couple of days ago, but didn't.
Must be something in La Nuit Tombe that causes people to procrastinate. :P

Yes, I agree. I really liked Les Lendemains.

Parenthèse was quite enjoyable too but Pauline's role was only very minor.
To be honest, I probably enjoyed the prequel "Les Prémisses" more because Pauline seemed to have a more substantial role. https://vimeo.com/144662965

If you're referring to "Launched", I think that's a pretty reasonable choice.

"La bande à Juliette" has now been released on VOD and as well on DVD for anyone who'd like to own the movie.
According to Aurélien Peyre there are German and English sub-titles too.
Posted on Facebook today. https://www.facebook.com/La-bande-%C3%A0-Juliette-867173973328105/?__tn__=kC-R&eid=ARD00G95_AQc274q9FT2RYFKAgEPPGvxQPSajzGlc-ZhMYfs4Pl8yB9X0nAKOY4124K0IvI7dcyjP9it&hc_ref=ARRMYV6aYn5A2nAcom2AYp2XYetGkSFsZ4RCVE_IimbPFTW1y2_JKmrfH-ykc5Z1Zmk&fref=nf

Might give some thought to buying the DVD. (I love buying DVD's   )
