I just wanted to start a thread on my favourite director in the past 15 years, A british director named Shane Meadows, as i stated in my thread headline he is the british Lukas Moodysson (only he didn't stop at three great movies and blew all his talent down the toilet) Meadows actually has gone to win major awards in britian and every film he's done has topped the last commercial and critically. Why i call him the British Moodysson is that his films are mostly about young kids/teenagers in the main role and his films can turn from nice to dark and nasty in a switch of a button. I just taught i stick up a few clips of his films to give you an example of his work.

this is a interview with Meadows about his last movie This is England back in 2008 also talks about his career and the making of his masterpiece

this is Meadows winning Best Britsh movie for this is england at the Bafta's been handed the award by Slyvester stallone

He's made some wonderful short films this been the best with Paddy Consindine stars in

He's someone who's influenced me in wanting to work in the film industry and i would love a few of you to check out his work cause he's hughly underrated outside Britian.
