Beauty and the Beast is a monster hit in the US and looks like being a mega-blockbuster (and it isn't even out in some places, like here, yet!) *:)* *:)*

Won't do Emma's career any harm. :D *:)* *:)*

Just learned today that our glorious cinema distributors have pushed back the Aussie release of The Circle from May to mid sodding July!

To call Beauty and the Beast a phenomenal success would be an understatement. The film had a budget of $150 million and has now raked in over $1 billion worldwide. Holy s**t! It has trounced all the other Disney live-action remakes, and has doubled the take of Cinderella, which was judged a huge success on its own.
Rather cannily, Emma was paid a relatively lowly $3 million for the film, with the caveat that she would receive an increase to $15 million if the film took in $350 million. I'd say she can enjoy her pay day!

Sadly, The Circle seems to be getting very mediocre reviews thus far. :(

Rotten Tomatoes overall rating was not so good. *:|*

"The Circle" looked promising thanks to the star power of Tom Hanks and Emma Watson, but their performances weren't enough to stop the thriller from being crushed by critics.

Watson -- who is hot off of record-breaking blockbuster "Beauty and the Beast" -- plays a young tech worker who starts a job at internet corporation, The Circle, overseen by Hanks' character. John Boyega, best known for his role in the "Star Wars" franchise, also has a part. Watson gets tossed into a world of privacy and surveillance that leaves the future of humanity in her hands.

The movie currently holds an unfortunate 22 percent "rotten" rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics are saying the movie is "the reason why people hate Hollywood," along with things like "bleak horror" and "emotionally dead."

The Fish rating was "The casting showed lots of promise." *:)* :P
