You know, it isn't the sheer number of fests.
It isn't all the presents that have to be bought.
It isn't all the drink.
It isn't even the thoughtlessness of those people who choose to have birthdays at this time of the year as well.

It's the mountains of food that people force upon me that really makes me wish for February. :r

I'm definitely moving to a different planet next year. :T

Indeed. I dread to think how much weight I've put on already, and they're still forcing it down my throat...

Yes, when did 'Eat Until You Explode' become part of Christmas ritual?

I blame Monty Python. I'm sure it's all a plot to see whether that scene in Meaning of Life will ever come true.

The irony of stuffing the festive turkey, when all along have been stuffing ourself.
At least it's a year until next christmas.

Happy new year, good people! *:)*

10:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve, big wind and rain, dark as dusk...

But yes, Happy New Year to all.

4:45 pm on New Years Day and it's big wind and rain here too.
But ours is the leftovers of an ex-tropical cyclone which hit the NW a couple of days ago.
Very humid and still 33°C. :r

Happy new year again to everyone.

URGH! That definitely trumps my weather whinge. At least when it's cold and wet you can stay warm and dry indoors at a sensible temp...but from high humidity and 33C there is no escape [bar very efficient/expensive aircon maybe?].

Never mind the wardrobe, I'd be hiding in the fridge!
