Doctor Who

Finally, a thread especially for the good Doctor! One of the most iconic shows on TV, which I've been a fan of for a long time (even if its current incarnation does not exactly thrill me), (and our resident fish is also a closet case :P  ), so why not give it its own thread?

The latest tattle is that filming on this year's Xmas special, which will mark the exit of Peter Capaldi and the (long overdue) exit of showrunner Steven Moffat, will wrap in June. Can't be long now till we find out who the new Doctor will be... :D

Watched Night Terrors last night, fun Matt Smith story. The human 'dolls' are very creepy (especially with their malevolent child-like laughter) and the regulars are great. I miss that team a lot actually. *:|*

The rumours of Tilda Swinton as next Doctor are interesting...

Everyone and their next door neighbour's cat have been rumoured.
I'll believe any of them when I see it! :P

That'd be the nature of rumours, I guess...unsubstantiated speculations...they do get clicks and sell papers, though, eh?

Saw Remembrance of the Daleks again last night. Still an absolute classic, doesn't half zip by at a right old lick! The lead-up to episode 2's cliffhanger is one of the best action sequences in the whole show, and you gotta love the bloody size of that explosion in part four (which was bigger than even the effects guys thought it was gonna be  ). Awesome!

Aliens of London. Everyone hates this 2 parter, apparently, but I've always liked it and still do. Just really great fun. :D

Saw The Pilot last night.
Well, I didn't hate it. It was... okay, I guess. Same with Bill, I doubt she'll ever be a favourite but unless she plunges rapidly downhill in the next few months I doubt I'm going to despise her like I did Little Miss Smugpants. The plot was fairly thin but it was an acceptable enough 'companion introduction' story very much in the vein of the RTD era, and I found Nardole rather amusing, personally. I reserve the right to loathe it on reviewings, especially if the rest of the season sucks, but so far not bad.

I'm more optimistic.
Probably foolishly I know, but I enjoyed it.
I'm already factoring in a reunion of Bill and the gorgeous Heather. *:)* *:)*
