Way to try and turn a beautiful story into a franchise.

Oh yes, on that we agree! And thinking of it, you might turn it all around and see Eli as more of a symbol, like of the violence that Oskar has inside him but is afraid to let loose. She's the complete opposite - She has to use violence even though she does not want to.

Or maybe it's sort of a Fight Club scenario! Does Eli really exist?

Well, sorry, I'm gonna drop this subject now.  But it sure as hell is an interesting film!

I refuse to watch it or look at it or in any way even so much as acknowledge its effing existence.

Well I thought it could have been worse, even though it's sad that they seem to have dropped the everyday feeling of the Swedish film.. This looks way too dramatic. But who's surprised, really? Why would the audience want to watch a film about normal people?

Indeed, far too mundane. :P

Like most of the very good "horror" stories it's the ordinary nature of the people involved that makes it so real.

Think I'll go watch Eli and Oskar again. *:)*

I found this lovely collection of fine quality prints, screen-shots, out-takes, rare clips, rehearsal frames, shoot stills, promo-shots, and award takes on Kalgon's Flickr site. They wont let me post on here, but well worth a visit. Oskar and Eli have to be my fave ''alternative chic'' couple. (after A&E, Accident and Emergency of course  )

Eli vs Twilight : made me laff so much :D

OK - This just a general appeal. :T I am in the process of transferring/uploading my entire fanfic novella onto this site as a temporary haven. I will open a new topic called, amazingly enough, ''''THE BOY WITH THE THORN IN HIS SIDE'' It is a LTROI fanfiction. I will write to Ian and explain the cirumstances. It needs to be done NOW as it is already formatted into phpBB format. Any disruption, and it will be lost forever.

This is a plea to anyone from this site on-line. Please, PLEASE DO NOT POST ANYTHING onto the ''THE BOY WITH THE THORN IN HIS SIDE'' thread until I have completed the transfer. Bless you! :D

It is 25 postings long. It's gonna take a while.

Well, it's a good thing you were already done before I barged in, because I've only just seen this plea, after posting...cool tho'. 8)

Has anyone spoken to Ole about the recently-mooted possibility of a fanfic area?

Ole is a cool guy. He hosts this site and is a laidback but an emotionally grown-up person. I think its time the site was give a PHPbb update, so liek I could do the Trivia Quiz with the answers in the same thread but covered up with he ''spoiler'' facility.
