Bought a job lot of Sarah Waters 'cause she writes a damn good story. The film Affinity, and the made for TV dramas Fingersmith and Tipping the Velvet, all adaptations from her novels.

Affinity was very spooky and very good.
T the V was much lighter but also very enjoyable.
Fingersmith was a lot darker and suffered a bit through fairly ordinary production, but the story was excellent.

Think I'm a bit lesbisked out at the moment though.

Blasphemer! :P

Bought a Masters of Horror dvd off ebay yesterday. That show was pretty poor on the whole, but two of the best were on the same dvd - Sick Girl (ooh, lesbisks  ) and John Landis' Deer Woman, which manages to be hilariously funny and scary at the same time (best thing he's done since American Werewolf, I reckon). Saw them on rental about 3 years ago, looking forward to watching them again. :D

Looking to buy another season of something on dvd to watch, and am torn between buying either House season 4 or trying Pushing Daisies season 1 locally, or importing either Eerie Indiana season 1 or Spin City season 1. Decisions, decisions. :T

Also wondering if anyone has ever actually seen the dvd of Manana as yet. :T

I only taped it really because it was on after Dead Set, just left it running overnight. Almost didn't watch it. Glad I did. :D

How much did you pay for REC? I saw it and was going to buy it then didn't have enough dosh although it was only a fiver. That was HMV, then they suddenly put the price up to 18quid. they have a habit of doing that. when I first bought Water Lilies the price had dropped from 18quid to 8quid then they bumped the price back up to 16quid. I hate that messing around.

At the current exchange rate that'd be around GBP 9 - 9.20 or so.

I hate it when the prices fluctuate like that. You just know you'll buy it on the wrong day. :x
