Took a chance on first series of Danish TV serial 'Heartless'' less than £8 at HMV. Watched the first 3 episodes. Pretty good so far. OK it is really 'young adult' rather than 'full-strength' although some scenes are pretty much 'full-on' in a Scandi-sense instead of 'Hollywood rules' Supernatural theme of twin 'soul' vampires trying to unravel their personal history. Symbolic (bloodless) rather than actual representation of what they term 'I need some' (Some?  ) and what they call 'sucking' (  ) The setting is an anal-retentive private school in Denmark to which the two protagonists have been (improbably) admitted having languished in an orphanage till now. Lots of hokey clues like an inter-weaving with the schools foundation in 1666 (geddit? 1666) Anyway, lots of fun, great acting by the young crew, atmospheric settings and cinematography even if the storyline is a bit shakey sometimes :D sure it is a little derivative of epics lik
e 'Jordskott' but hey, why not 'borrow' some themes from screen successes. Definitely much higher production values than you will get with USA product Typically 'scandi-standard' the cunnilingus scene in Ep 3, OK is cos he needs 'some' NOT sex OK, right ? :T  It really is worth watching, intelligent but not philosophically-challenging and I am sure the young cast had a ball (or two? :D :D ) making it.

With the fencing class going on, for one mad moment I thought it was "Lost and Delirious" all over again.

Sounds OK(ish), without being really good.

Maybe with more research. :?

Arrived:

The Tunnel season 2 (Sabotage). Ordered this 5 weeks ago from the UK, really looking forward to it, so of course it gets lost in the post and I end up having to get a refund and managing to get another copy from an Aussie seller.

Arrived:

Scream season 1. Have heard mixed things about it, hope it's decent. At least I hope it's better than the Slasher series, which I (thankfully) rented, and didn't like much at all.
