Oh they are really good. I've seen most of them one time or another on video etc. I don't like PD James as a person, but as a writer, her characterisation and knowledge kicks ass, and Dalgleish is a much easier character to warm to, than say Morse or Wycliffe. I love the way she has of setting everyone up as a potential suspect, very Agatha Christie style, and doing ''double murders'', when the person YOU suspect gets bumped off

I think ''Death Of an Expert Witness'' was one of the first to be made for TV and has superb casting and well vaguely lesbian undertow  . I also remember ''Cover Her Face'' as it featured the gorgeous Kim Thomson, one of the most beautiful and talented natural redheads to make it as an actor :)P

I remember seeing them (or some of them) as a kid. Wasn't interested in the remake versions they've been doing lately. Roy Marsden is Dalgliesh. Martin Shaw pah.

The one I remember most is I think Devices and Desires, from 1991 I think. I remember the creepy scene with the whistling killer on the dark road, running up and strangling a woman with rope or something. Very creepy. Will be interesting to see them again. :D

The Hurt Locker.
Frighteningly real, emotional, unusual war movie. Cool.

Bought the BBC/ Yellowbird Second series of ''Wallander'' today. Didn't get time to see them on TV in December. A tad pricey, but 3 feature length episodes for 21quid. The first series was very good. Won a BAFTA award. My only gripe is that it has subtitles in English, duuuur :T but not Swedish. If they market this in Sweden then surely it must have Swedish subs? If it was in Swedish it would help me learn the language. I watched the first film and it was well up to standard. Bigger budget production than the Swedish Wallander series, but would like to have those too if they're available on DVD with English subs. Anyone know?

I believe they are, but they're kinda expensive.
