Poet's Corner

Postby snaps » Thu Feb 25, 2010 12:17 am

Just reviving this for some occasional posts I have to come, poems and song lyrics not necessarily FA/SML related. You may ignore at your leisure. Most titles will be in Swedish, but poems in English, some with illustrations.

FÖRHOPPNING (Hope)

Alive
in the moment
bear witness and fruit
to fresh expectations on the road

Achieving
what others only dreamed
for you, your happiness
is their greatest wish

More
you take on
the greater the burden
but the more the sharing of loads

Loving
yourself and others
turns strangers on the way into
sisters and brothers.

Living
your life to the fullest
defying death’s closing door
your greatest resistance

Gone
but not forgotten
each passing
is a new chapter beginning

FULLMÅNE

Image

Tomorrow is Full mOOOn
time dances to our tune
I sense it deep within
I feel it burn my skin
peeling away like a snake
an ache to be slaked
itching burning
shredding shedding
turbulent insurgence
bones that won’t rest
the unzipping the zest
the moonlust the quest
can’t quell the rising uprising
blood boils races pumping

Meet me at midnight
I have such delights
planned for you this tide
exchange energies inside
feel my soul bleed
meet your needs
crashing splashing
gnashing tearing
dance with me
so entwined are we
and feast till sated
each other’s flesh cremated
COME HOOOOOOOOWL
with me at the mOOOn

I find it safer indoors in my cage at full moon.
Too much howling and feasting otherwise.

Very primal. Dare I say yum? Image Image

ANOREKTIKER

Image

So she turned herself
into a living skellington
she said she thinks that’s attractive
the grinding of chalk in the bones

Spiralled herself in time to dust
submitted unto fashionable lust
ground herself down into a husk
turned vampire as the day turned to dusk

You have no-one
who meets that need
a scattered seed
blowing free
in the wind
tumble weed blown
down your street
gone gone with the breeze
and the leaves have all flown
dead is the skin you live in
blown blown away with the wind

That's so sad.

I must confess to a liking for naturally skinny girls but when an illness like ana or bul take over it only leads to tragedy.
I feel so sad for anyone, male or female, with such an eating disorder. *:|*

MARDRÖM

Image

Buried deep inside dream dust if therefore were it not for lust
then where would I be anywhere that someone like you should care?
Or did I stare into the vacant socket where your eyeball used to be?
The boy who lives inside the locket of a choke chain round your throat

DROWNING inside, DROWNING out. PHASING outside, PHASING in
DROWNING outside, DROWNING in, PHASING inside, PHASING out

A knock comes pounding on my door, oh so you’re coming back for more?
You better bed down now crash out cos in the morning you’ll be gone
Leaving me with no words but noted how I should have been connected
made out, phased out or outlived your perfect pristine usefulness?

DROWNING inside, DROWNING out. PHASING outside, PHASING in
DROWNING outside, DROWNING in, PHASING inside, PHASING out

You dealing daily in your dalliance is no satisfying substitute for romance
in sleep I would have cried out ‘Murder’ but on waking. You got away with it ALL

DROWNING inside, DROWNING out. PHASING outside, PHASING in
DROWNING outside, DROWNING in, PHASING inside, PHASING out

I'm finding it quite difficult to define my feelings about this one.
Sounds like a poor soul in torment, but still willing/wishing to fight against the situation.

I'll have to rest my remaining brain cell a bit and come back to see if I've missed any clues. :?

This one may be more to your sophisticated taste :D

MAD HALF-BREED COMMIE LESBIAN VAMPIRE DRILLER KILLERS ON ACID

Let’s go and make a movie and make it a really big deal
Let’s go make loads of money so it really is a steal
Who cares about the plot we’ll make it as we go along
Just take the piss out of every minority that’s going
I’ll rip the script off Lukas just cut and paste and mix
Let’s film it in your bedroom and edit with your puter tricks
We’ll be the actors and I’ll direct and make you into a star
We’ll do the soundtrack too on your kazoo and my guitar
We’ll dope your granny’s tea and then we’ll use her as the corpse
And cast your little brother and your pet dog as well of course
You make animation monsters out of purple plasticene
And I’ll make sure their breeding tackle really looks obscene
Let’s make it controversial so it easily gets banned
Then everyone will protest and want to see it on demand
We’ll win all the major prizes: guldbagge, oscars, and the baftas
Cry and make stupid speeches and get howled at with laughter
All the international festivals and run off with the award
Even though we haven’t won it we’ll just steal it as reward
Don’t forget we need to plan the sequels and franchising
I can make the dolls and make a killing on merchandising
We’ll live in mansions and drive around in really flashy motors
Keep getting married and divorced so we can sell the photos
So throw away your homework and get your digi camera out
Fame calls us from afar to the creative artist’s life no doubt.

Easter Snow Prayer

It’s snowing outside my cosy home here
First time at Easter in twenty-five years
I stare from my warm wet window pane
Slow melted snow turns to tears of rain

And did it snow then at Calvary Hill
When men turned on their God to kill?
And does it snow in Moscow today
When women turn on men each other to slay?

And please will the fighting never cease
Africa, Asia, and Middle East?
God only pours pellets of snow and rain
Man does the rest in God’s own name

When please will we learn and know
The message of doves is there in the snow?
And see the miracle written above
Snowflakes unique, like people, like love

DIAMOND LIFE

{Lyric built up around ''Smooth Operator'' by Sade)

She’s flirting with another girl
Pawing around with my heart
Risking high stakes, makes my heart ache
Seduces in seven languages
Après-ski nights, red lights, way up high
Goddess help her when she falls.

Diamond Life, lover girl
We glide in space, don’t hesitate for the thrill
Dimmed lights on Full Moon nights
Taken in desire reach together those heights.

No room for freshers or bleeding hearts
Your emotion is open to chance
No backing out if you hit the start.

Her name? Don’t ask!
She's a cool operator,
cool operator,
cool operator,
cool operator.

Coast to coast, Stockholm to Sorrento, cosmo girl
North to south, London to Lisbon, love for sale.
In my face you classy case
We shadow dance, see who’s boss
Thrill of the chase.

Liscensed to kill, emotions on hold
Disposable memories burned into gold
Blonde hair like an angels, but her eyes are cold

Her past? Don’t ask!
She's a cool operator,
cool operator,
cool operator,
cool operator.

I love Sade singing Smooth Operator.
Hmmmm. :)P

You're becoming very prolific now Snaps, which I think is great.
Perhaps it has something to do with a better class of person commenting on your work.
So nice to see constructive comments written for a change.
Love your stuff. *:)*

Have you given The Local the flick for good?
And even more importantly did you get even with your moronic critic?
 :P
