Anyone seen this Swedish vampire movie? It was on SBS here last night, and I taped it. Worth a look?

And you simply forgot to tell me, right?

I usually check all those out late in the day, to see if anything looks a likely candidate for recording.
Must have missed that one. :(

Let me know if it's any good.Image

LOL Sorry. I did mean to mention it, but I forgot. It's a wonder I remembered to tape it! :T

I will inevitably deliver my review by the weekend. :P :D

Saw this last night. Oh DEAR. Proof that the Swedes can knock out dumb crap just as well as Hollywood. Dreadful, I thought. I get the impression it was supposed to be tongue in cheek, but the end result was just embarrassing.

LTROI it ain't. You didn't miss much, fishy!

Glad I missed it now.

Good to see the annual quota of "dumb crap" is being maintained. I'd hate to think we were lagging behind. :r

Not seen Frostbite.

How about Benzina (2001, Italian)? DVD is on sale in Powerplay but its a tad expensive for me right now. :( Anyone seen it? Recommend it?

Fiery, dark-haired Stella, an intense auto mechanic, and nervous, blonde Eleonora (aka Lenni) are young and in love, and are from opposite ends of the social spectrum. They operate a gas station peacefully, until Lenni's mother appears and voices her disapproval of their lesbian romance. When Stella takes action in the heat of the moment, blood flies and the young women end up with a corpse on their hands. The lovers realize they must flee in order to stay together.

Benzina got mainly "Eh" reviews. Not a lot to enthuse about. *:|*

Things like this from IMDb...
This was a screenplay that should have never gotten made into a movie. Just about everything related to the advancement of the plot was carried off awkwardly.
Not a good start.

In particular, there were these three wild, psychotic teenagers who appeared out of nowhere, and decided to chase and torment the two leads throughout the movie, with absolutely no motivation, and constantly reappearing at the very most improbable moments.
Even worse.

And also, unfortunately, there was no nudity in this movie, and just a couple of very brief and mostly clothed love scenes between the two women.
Think I'll leave this on the shelf.
