I'm taking it down because it's run its course, and its very time-consuming and fiddly dealing with the formatting etc. Time to move on. Other writers won't usually tolerate following more than one website by another writer. I have problems enough getting some to reciprocate views and comments at the best of times. For now, I'm doing some work for the Local.se blog. Maybe if I can attract an audience I will be offered some work as a staff writer, although there's a lot of competition for those opportunities.

OK here goes:

1). I've altered the site format and re-titled it ''An Outsider Looking In''

will (a) give it higher alphabetical ranking (b) allows me to be more general in what I include.

2) I still don't know how to get my pic/ avatar uploaded. there doesn't seem to be any provision for that. Or else may they think I''m just too fugly?

3). I've uploaded a new piece about Pippi: http://www.thelocal.se/blogs/zalarusse/

4). I've re-formatted the sidebar.

5) I'm still trying to get my head round ''Categories'' and ''Tags'' and the difrence between them, I know you can do this and it will help but like the avatar, they don't give you much help.

6) Any comments are helpful, even if it's ''shite'' it makes it look like someone reads this stuff. Comments are pre-set to moderation but thats just an admin detail as far as I'm concerned.

7). I can't change the log-in of zalarusse but I can change the on-site name. Zala Russe just started as a private joke between me and Sam, as in ''Zala'' = Zalachenko and ''Russe'' (as in Russian, French), and the Lazarus (geddit ) Project, a Larsson project we exchanged ideas on. Amazingly no-one from my previous writers site has queried this ( but there again probably not Larsson fans ). So options

a) keep it b) change it to something more Swedish sounding c) change it to something more English sounding d) change it something more Swinglish sounding

any ideas?

Amazingly enough no-one from thelocal.se has written to me yet to tell me to stop using uncredited other peoples jpg's etc.

Yeah, I think you need a juicy pic. Seems that the content itself always is not enough when you'd like to draw in the masses.

Anyway, searched and checked and found this (Blogging on The Local):

Assumingly they really want to know what kind of "face" gets plastered in their Blogs page...

Sadly that doesn't say how to get your pic to your own blog page. Unless the 'background image' is the one.

Aww fanq guys for the comments. i've opted to have a delay built in so they come to me first for approval, to prevent spamming or assholes from my previous writing site pissing all over it.
I'll have to follow up on the pic/avatar thing again. It lets me have an avatar for the ''membership'' to allow me to post comments on main stories etc. Maybe you have to wait to be invited to join the big league to have a photo posted.

Look, I was just hangin' in a club in Stockholm, on my way back from New years, when Karolina Sibirzeff started chatting. You know how it is, she wanted to meet Snapsie and wondered if I could organise it, so I just told her to feck off 'cause Snapsie has to organise her DVD collection and was far to busy for the like of you.
