I don't expect you guys to follow this,
but Alex and Bex will know what this is about
When they surf on through here (as they do occasionally) they may catch it.
POEM FOR SPIRIT DAY
See the mirror in front of your eyes
Would you hate yourself and despise
Yourself, because you are different?
Immoderate, unfeeling, intransigent?
Be me for that one moment in time,
There now, did you commit a crime?
To be, and think and speak and feel
In my shoes? Well it’s no big deal
Tomorrow, for a change, I will be you
And rack my brains to get your view
Break on through the purple ceiling
See the World through your feeling
Know and fear what it is is to be you
Hold your dread in my arms it’s true
To know and love you without hate
No judgement, just awe, as we integrate
And you be me without the shame
And I’ll be you without the blame
Then just for once we’ll understand
We’re strangers in a stranger land
