This week there are in TV doing some documentaries in the afternoon of a very weird and funny animal.

It's like a miniature of bear.

And the name?

Wombat!
seems comic.

Seems friendly though...

Wikipedia wrote:Attacks on humans

Humans can receive puncture wounds from wombat claws, as well as bites. Startled wombats can also charge humans and bowl them over, with the attendant risks of broken bones from the fall. One naturalist, Harry Frauca, once received a bite 2 cm (0.8 in) deep into the flesh of his leg—through a rubber boot, trousers and thick woolen socks. A UK newspaper, The Independent, reported that on 6 April 2010, a 59-year-old man from rural Victoria state was mauled by a wombat (thought to have been angered by mange), causing a number of cuts and bite marks requiring hospital treatment. He resorted to killing it with an axe.

Wombats can vary in size from that of a medium sized dog up to that of a wild pig.
They're a marsupial but have evolved with a backward facing pouch because they live underground and a forward facing pouch would get earth in it as they burrow.
Immensely strong, just a ball of muscle really.
Large incisors for eating grass and roots.
A very strong bite too.
They'll take your finger off if you're not careful.

I have held a tame(ish) one in a wildlife park.
A bit like cuddling up to a bowling ball.
