Sorry, Kyle, only just saw this!

Tough one, really. I've come to the conclusion in recent times that I'm not as much of a film fan as I used to think. Generally speaking, I have a lot more affection for favourite tv shows than movies.
Of course, there are exceptions: Show Me Love being top of the list.

Other favourites are mostly from my childhood, there are very few recent ones.

Love:

Gremlins (absolute magic to me. I can still remember watching this with my Nan as a little kid, my Nan looking at Gizmo and saying "What kind of animal is that, really?" )
Ghostbusters.
Aliens.
Arachnophobia.
The Tim Burton Batman movies (esp 'Returns').
The Cutting Edge.
Young Sherlock Holmes (another childhood one).
Black Christmas (the original 1974 movie. VERY scary!)

Can't really think of many others. I'm kinda hard to impress these days. To become an obsession in the way it has, SML is one extraordinary movie. :D

Hi,

My top 10 of movies has changed throughout the years, so it is time to give an update on my favourite movies. There is no order, because it is very difficult to choose between a number 7 and a number 8 for example.

My top 10:

Sommaren med Monika (1953)
Before Sunrise (1995)
Paris, Texas (1984)
Fucking Åmål (1998)
Donnie Darko (2001)
Casablanca (1942)
Sideways (2004)
Being There (1979)
Du Levande (2007)

I'm not good at making lists of "best movies" or best whatever, but:

Some of the most enjoyable movies, IMO:

12 monkeys
Strange Days
Fight Club
Last of the Mohicans
Captain Alatriste (I don't know if it's the correct english title)

and nothing more comes to my mind :)

Hah, the original cut was actually many hours long (six hours at least) but they had to cut it, leaving many actors whose segments had already been filmed out. I wish they'd release these bits on DVD some day.
