Just heard/saw Creep by Radiohead on tv. Haven't heard it in ages but just realised again how good it was.

Went out and spoiled a good walk earlier today.*

Been listening to and ultimately watching clips of Avril Lavigne for the last hour or so. Always liked her, apart from her looks, I think she is very talented.
It's interesting to see her evolve as she grows up, despite all the comments about her selling out, and that she should stick to the "skater boy" style, I think she sees herself as very much a work in progress. I can't see there being much of a market for her singing Skater Boy music in twenty five years time.

(* golf has long been referred to as "a good walk spoiled". I have this mutual regard for golf, I hate it and it hates me. Good fun though.) :Y :N :T _O^

Went into U-Tube and lined up a few versions of Leonard Cohen's masterpiece "Hellelujah". Listened to them all in a row. What a classic. Loved it.

I heard a nice story about a street busker here playing a Leonard Cohen song on the underground when who should walk by but the man himself, here in London to do a concert. Apparently he gave the busker some money and took the trouble to compliment him on his singing and playing. :)

That would be like Lukas Moodysson :)P checking in here and leaving a post about my writing and saying ''Nice work, but don't quit the day j-o-b yet" :Z I would be so flattered and modestly overwhelmed ^O^ *:)*

I guess that's a huge advantage of living in your part of the world, people like that can just "be there" wandering around. 8) That can happen in our bigger cities like Sydney or Melbourne to some extent but very unlikely here.

Whoever coined the phrase "the tyranny of distance" got it right. :x

Are you crazy?
I'll book you into the Dome. (Adelaide's National Basketball League team plays at The Dome.....It's shaped like a cube. :?: :?: :T )
That way I can charge lots of $$$$$$$ for people to get in.

(Even more when they want to get out. )

Am I crazy?

Is the Pope a Catholic? :? Errrr dunno? Is he? I guess so but there again was Jesus a Christian ? He had a lot of self-belief certainly but he pre-existed Christianity. It would have been a bummer if he got to heaven and there was a sign saying ''Christians Only'' :?

A thought for the day presented by snapsie. :Y

Thank God I'm an atheist.

or alternatively;

I wouldn't want to go anywhere with such low standards that they'd let me in.

You should lie down somewhere dark and quiet, and recover :)

Lister: ''I am what I am and that's all that I am." Who said that? Descartes wasn't it?

Rimmer: Actually, I think you'll find it was Popeye.
