It's bad enough here, humid and sweltering for weeks.
I'm starting to look longingly at the icy weather in the UK... :lol:

Yeah. At least ours is a dry heat.
But after a week of over 40°C maximums it's getting a little wearisome. :roll:


Bushfires are out of control across a number of areas of the state.
Major fire at Cudlee Creek in the Adelaide Hills has claimed one life and a large number of properties.
Vegetation is tinder dry because this has been the driest recorded winter, ever.

At least the temperature today is only about 30°C after a cool change went through last night.

Here's hoping for the best.

Cooler but still no sign of rain.
Another fatality in South Aus overnight.
Total of about six at last report throughout the country.
Desperate times in Australia.

Unfortunately it seems that good soaking rain is all that will end the situation, and forecasts are saying that's a long way off.

More tragedies are unfolding daily with many homes and businesses being destroyed.
