Every time I made a trip in North Europe (always in summer) I really enjoy the very long days, thinking "it must be hard to bear, to spend a winter here".
But I didn't imagine it was this hard.
May I suggest to create a secret cache of old style light bulbs before they are out of the market forever? The fluorescent lamps are really sad things.

Best wishes...

But how will we notice the difference?   :P

So we have like, four months of your PMT to suffer. :(

You need to get out into a warmer, sunnier climate, like Adelaide.
Hot, hot, hot, dry winds blowing clouds of dust down from the outback.
Longing for a day when it only gets to 30 instead of the mid 40's.
"Please let it rain" for months on end.
Staying out of the sun as much as you can.
Sunburn. Skin cancer.
Air conditioners. Power bills.

But at least we don't suffer from S.A.D. :(
Though I do like your "Baileys" remedy. :D

We'll do our best to understand and to treat you gently, 'cause we care. *:)*

I hear Rhodiola rosea is a possible option for the winter blues. Supposedly used by people in Nordic countries. Have you tried that?
