Yeah, I saw it years ago. Not my cup of tea. Well made, but any movie that concentrates on trying to be "symbolic" and "mean something" rather than be actually - er - entertaining to watch (or, indeed, have anything resembling a coherent plot) is unlikely to end up on my favourites list. I couldn't see the point of it myself. Rather dull a lot of the time, too. Sorry.

Guess it's not really a guy movie thang. Did see it for 5quid in HMV today but resisted temptation to buy. Got ''American Beauty'' and ''American Graffiti'' on DVD for 3quid each. Haven't seen ''American Graffiti'' for ages, it's such a fun film. Must have been great to be a teenager in 1962, the styles, the fashion, the music, the hotrods. Eh I bet fish had a good time way back then
