This guy seems to have zero sense of humour. Did a search on the name part of his address and found a few sites, including a forum where he asked a simple question and someone answered with a joke. He spent the next page full of posts absolutely ripping the other guy to shreds for making a joke about what he said was a serious question.

I hope he doesn't think two emails from the other side of the planet are a joke or he might send the heavies around.

Which forum was it?

This is just so frustrating.
I ran the search again and found twice as many sites, but the one we're talking about was not there. :x
From memory the particular "conversation" was about three years old.

I'll keep looking and will post my results.

Found it, though its back in 2002 not 2006 as I had thought.

There are a number of other examples on other topics too.
I hope he's mellowed out a bit and takes our emails seriously.

Now that's just too cruel.
Funny. But cruel. :P
I'd just hate to see any of us treated like Wolf. *:|*

And what are you doing awake at this time of night? Must be like 4am or something.

Tracked down what appears to be a list of dvd's and vid's he has from his forum profile page and what we're after is there. Here's how Google translated what he'd written about it.

"Longing blue flower

Comment: Längtans blue flower is a love story freely dramatized a novel by Alice Lyttkens. A story that begins with gossamer romance and erotic charge in the eyes of the face and hands that touches - and ending in the destructive passion. There is also a story about the differences between the sexes and between classes in a time of samhällsomstörtning and political turmoil: the late 1800s the first decade. In the center stands the three orphaned siblings in the family Tollman: merchant Gustav, widow Ulrika and their younger sister Betty. On the surface, a bourgeois family, among others. Not particularly wealthy, but with a good name. Beneath the surface döjer However, family secrets ...... Complete! Missing past the third section, but now the series is complete. "

I guess all we have to do now is convince him to take us seriously. :|

Had a reply to the email, unfortunately not the one I wanted but I'll try him again in a couple of months. I guess you might have one too Ian.

"Hello down under!
Unfortunately I cannot make copies anymore because there is something wrong with the vcr. The picture gets black during copying. I dont know why but I will probably buy me a combined VCR-dvd-burner and if I can make it work I will start copying again.

Email me in a couple of months and maybe I´ll be able to help you then."

I sent him a "thank you" for his response.

I haven't had one. Maybe he doesn't check his hotmail one, though...

Pity. It's always such a lottery with things like this. I got The Little Vampire (before I knew it had actually had an official release, in Germany) off some guy off YouTube, who missed an episode off :T , while some guy who claimed to have another tv series I want replied to my email saying he was on holiday but would get back to me when he got home never did. And never replied when I emailed him a second time. :T :T

I was particularly peeved with the latter one, as I really thought I'd finally tracked it down. It's not on VHS or DVD, no clips on YouTube, never even seen so much as a screencap. Annoying! :T :P

Call that a shark?

Then again he could have come to one of our local South Australian beaches.

Couple of months later.
I've just sent a follow up e-mail to the guy in Sweden.
Hope he's fixed all his equipment problems and is able to help.
I'll keep you informed. :W
