What's On in Sweden: Horses and Anzacs
Updated: 01 May 2014 12:30 GMT+02:00
This weekend promises plenty of activities in Sweden's three biggest cities, with the traditional Anzac horse races sure to draw a crowd in Stockholm on Sunday.
This year marks the 99th anniversary Anzac day, which recognizes Australian and New Zealand soldiers (Anzacs) who died serving their countries.
To mark the occasion, Aussies, Kiwis, expats and Swedes are flocking to the Täby Galopp on the Roslagsbanan to enjoy live music, pony rides for the kids, food and drinks, and of course - horse racing. Australian and New Zealand diplomats will be on the scene too, among a crowd that's expected to top 1,000. Admission is 50 kronor and gates open at midday.
Elsewhere, there's plenty happening in Stockholm, Malmö, and Gothenburg - simply click on the appropriate city below to find out more.
