Halloween is not a tradition in Australia, despite the efforts of many people to "Americanise" us.
Stay inside.
Sounds down low.
Lights down low.
Shhhhhh!

Yes, they did not call.
Success for another year.

We had one. So many chocolates left for us. *:)* :P :P

One of the reasons I opted out.
Easy enough to become a blimp without Hallowbloodyween.

I found one of these little critters at Seaford Beach about a hundred years ago.
It was living in a discarded drink can in about a metre of water.
Even then I was smart enough to leave it in the can and not touch it.

So beautiful though with those iridescent blue/purple rings flashing their warning.

If it bites you, you only have a couple of minutes for someone to start CPR.
If not, you die.
No second chance, you die.
Welcome to "venomous creatures of Australia".

Now, I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression about Australia.

Christmas Day in Adelaide. :W

Not me.
I know of the guy, but I don't know him.
I only wish I'd had the courage to wear this little demure outfit for Christmas. *:)*

And those "non-surviving" original cast members, do they play the new crop of ghosts?
Sorry but some tasteless person was always going to say it. Image

Q. Why would anyone want to live in outback Australia?
A. This is the homestead of Tolarno Station at Menindee Lakes on the Darling River in far west New South Wales.
The Darling River is part of the Murray-Darling river system which is currently under dire stress due to a combination of drought and over extraction by industrial scale irrigation upstream.
This over use of the water has been brought about by the criminal actions of sections of the State and Federal governments in combination with unregulated water harvesting by the large irrigators.
Recent mass fish kills are a symptom of what's going on.
This section of the largest river system in Australia has been reduced to a few toxic pools.
Please keep an eye on it with me. :x

Oh!
Did I mention we have very little light pollution at night and we can actually see the stars? ^O^
